I don't think it will be possible for new .ai registrations, to only register for 1 year.
dang.. I found one with a really solid meaning and good use for .ai, it's taken in 80+ TLDs... I might have to grab it :x $150 is steep though

Dotdb isn't foolproof. Sometimes it misses some registered names on its list.

Hi

just like backlinks, you gotta check each one manually.
otherwise, the numbers don't mean :poop:

imo...

Its an addicti.on
I see a 1 word.ai to stay on topic, I checked dotdb and only taken in 9 extensions.
I’ll buy no more names for resell cause dead domaining is

Hi

that means you can reg that word in at least 100 extensions that are available,
then you could promote it saying... "over 100 extensions taken".

how much would it cost to build that, to change perception of value?

imo...

Its really irrelevant how many extensions a name, examples namepro or namepros is taken in. Sometimes a word fits extension.
This word came to me thinking of ways to make money since domaining is.dead
Need a domain though to run a business@
Off topic now 😧

Yea, I mean, to me and many other domaining IS dead, in terms of owning 100+ domains waiting / hoping someone will buy. Domains are becoming less significant to brands each day imo.

I just looked into a SaaS project involving AI and figured .AI would be the best fit. Then I found a decent word that isn't taken in .ai, but, I'm not going to invest in it.

The domain name is Utile.ai, the meaning of Utile is "Useful", it is an obsolete word that nobody uses in today's English, however it is still used in other languages, but with a differen't looking "U", however, the domain IS taken in 84 other TLDs, so maybe someone would like it.

Here is a potential buyer:

How many extensions a domain is taken is irrelevant. This is a make up by domainers which make no sense.
As a matter of facts the more extensions is taken, the more chance you will have a trade mark problem.
I don't care about:
- how many extensions is taken
- Search results
- Brandpa Squadhelp approved
- EMD, etc.......
All I care is who could be my potential buyers and what type of website that I can create from the name.
Stop learning from the wrong thinking and all the nonsense statistics ( i.e. If Stupid was sold for $100,000 does not mean IAmStupid can be sold for $30,000)

Exactly many names fit perfectly for a couple extensions but would never be taken in several.

If the domain had expired before, you could try searching the domain on ExpiredDomains.net and it will show the number of extensions it is taken in under the column labeled "Reg".

It’s actually a pretty decent indication if the name is more generic. Make your own list of generic keywords you think are great, you can simply check and you’ll find it’s registered in many extensions. Make sure it’s not registered by the same person, registered by many different people is a good sign
