There has been thousands of registrations on .si over the last weeks. We know a lot of people positioned early on .si but I'm wondering is there still gold left out there. What's the best .si you have hand regd lately. Feel free to post with price if it's for sale also. I'm seeing some stuff appearing that I can't see ever selling but beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say!

I disagree 100%. I've been picking very nice names lately.
You just need to spend enough time looking.

Picking and selling are two different things. And selling what's being picked today - you'd better buy lottery tickets instead - chances of hitting the jackpot are much higher.

There's the Slovenian market too. Not every good .si name has to be about superintelligence, even if that's where all the attention is right now.

I think you should take a course on probabilities.

A guy just sold Full Power (.) si for 10k. The name was regged 12 days before the sale.

I recently sold a name that was registered 2 months before the sale.

Do you truly think the odds of these sales are less than 1 in 45 million?

Lotery tickets are fungible, domains are not.

The beauty of domaining is that if you have good registration skills, you can massively turn the odds in your favor.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... This guy sold this, that guy sold that... - perfect probability strategy - good luck with it. Tag me when you actually sell something you registered this fall, not five years ago.

I'm curious how you know who is buying domains and whether they're a "denier" or not.

I don't even know what name you're talking about, so if you're implying it was me, cowrong.

And if by double-barrelled you mean hyphenated, I wouldn't touch those in .DE.

And if you think names are valuable just because mugs are buying them for $10, have fun wasting money.

Which top CEOs have forecast .SI will be mainstream in the next 2-5 years?
wow she just made a lot of assumptions and leaps right there 🤣🤣 DYOR

For those genuinely interested though -
Several high-profile tech CEOs have explicitly forecast the arrival of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) or Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) within a two-to-five-year timeframe (roughly between 2026 and 2031).
The term "Super Intelligence" has seen massive adoption across the tech industry following a White House executive order rebranding advanced AI frameworks. The leading executives driving this aggressive timeline include:

1. Masayoshi Son (Soft bank)
  • Timeline: Next 2 years (by 2028)
  • Details: Son revised his timeline inward, noting that OpenAI's upcoming frontier models are being directly designed by AI. He predicts that AI will surpass human intelligence in 70% to 80% of all subject areas within a couple of years.

2. Dario Amodei (Anthropic)
  • Timeline: 1 to 3 years (by 2027–2029)
  • Details: Amodei has consistently maintained that powerful AI—which he defines as being smarter than Nobel Prize winners and functioning like a "country of geniuses in a data center"—could materialize as early as 2026 or 2027 based on exponential scaling laws.

3. Sam Altman (OpenAI)
  • Timeline: 2 to 4 years (by late 2028)
  • Details: Altman stated at the 2026 AI Impact Summit that early versions of superintelligence could arrive "within a few years," explicitly targeting 2028 as the milestone where data center computing power will surpass the aggregate intellectual capacity of humanity. While he previously cited 2030 for full capability, his AGI deployment timelines have compressed aggressively.

4. Mark Zuckerberg Meta
  • Timeline: "Within the next few years"
  • Details: Zuckerberg has formally integrated "personal superintelligence" into Meta's core product strategy. He noted that consumers will have seamless access to open-source infrastructure providing superintelligence beyond human capacity in the immediate future.

5. Jensen Huang (NVIDIA)
  • Timeline: Within 5 years (by 2029–2031)
  • Details: Huang projects that within a five-year window, AI will achieve thinking, learning, and test-taking capabilities at a level fully competitive with human beings.

So nothing to do with .SI being mainstream in 2-5 years. Just the usual marketing BS from the usual suspects who all know human software surpassing human intelligence is impossible outside of science fiction, so they have to rewrite what "ASI" means like they did with AGI, plus Jensen Huang, the only sane realist on the list.

I've been pretty skeptical about .SI, but this week I finally decided to jump on the bandwagon and see where the road takes me.

I enjoy experimenting, but what I enjoy even more is collecting and crunching the data that comes out of those experiments. :)

I've always approached things a bit like restaurant recommendations or travel reviews. You can have a hundred people telling you a place is amazing or terrible, but I'd still rather go there and find out for myself. And quite often, I end up surprised.

Ask a million people and you'll get a million different opinions. Opinions are a bit like domain names: everyone's got one, but some are definitely better than others. ;)

That's why I prefer forming my own conclusions, preferably backed by some actual data.

So, in the name of science (and perhaps a little domainer FOMO), I've decided to liberate these 12 names from the registration pool and give .SI a proper shot:

WordDictionary Meaning
RearviewA view of what is behind, especially as seen through a mirror.
OnlookerA person who watches an event without taking part in it.
ForebearAn ancestor or a person from whom one is descended.
LozengeA small medicated tablet that dissolves in the mouth; also, a diamond-shaped figure.
FigurateHaving a definite shape or form; in music, ornamented with decorative notes.
OutvoteTo defeat someone or a group by obtaining more votes.
ProsaicOrdinary, commonplace, or lacking imagination and originality.
OverheatTo become or cause something to become excessively hot.
IllusoryBased on illusion; appearing real or true but actually deceptive or unreal.
LivewareThe people who operate or interact with a computer system, as distinct from its hardware and software.
MetagenomicsThe study of genetic material obtained directly from environmental or biological samples.
BiostatAn abbreviated form of biostatistics, the application of statistical methods to biological and medical research.

A bit of everything here. Some recognizable dictionary words, some brandable terms, and a couple of more specialized names.

I'm not claiming I've struck gold, nor am I expecting overnight miracles. I'm simply curious to see how these perform, what kind of interest they attract, and whether the actual market data eventually supports the current enthusiasm around .SI.

Worst case, I pay a relatively small tuition fee for another lesson in domaining. Best case, I learn something useful and maybe even make a few sales along the way.

Either way, I'll have some real numbers to work with rather than just opinions.

Anyone else experimenting with .SI this way? I'd be curious to hear what you're picking up and, more importantly, whether you're seeing any actual buyer interest.

EDIT: I have added some definitions of the words since English might not be the native language of many :)

Regards,
T
