Hi guys,

I stumbled upon the addicting hobby of collecting domain names.
It's fun and I registered / bought my first domains without gaining much knowledge.
I'm more the experimenting guy that learns stuff by doing. In the next steps I will invest in my knowledge before investing more into domains.

But for know I'd love to get some feedback on my domains. They are in the order of my exploration, the first one is on top :xf.smile:

  • hidefacts/com
I started with two english words, because I gave up while searching for just one nice word to register.

  • holyquestion/com
Again, an attempt at two simple english words.

  • lmfao/eu
First attempt at an acronym . Maybe not worth much at all with .eu but who knows...

  • hel/al
First attempt of a domain hack...
helal is the turkish word for halal, widely used for certain products in Europe and Turkey

  • cities/tw
I know, .tw is not much worth atm. I just liked this domain. I plan to keep it for a very long time for myself.

  • multithreading/io
I will use this one most likely by myself for a project. But I also do like the domain just by itself.

  • checkviruses/com
This one was my first auction attempt. It didn't cost much. Like I said, just an attempt :xf.grin:

Any feedback (positive & negative) is greatly appreciated. Am I at least on the right track?
It's not easy to evaluate without having sold anything yet.

Thanks a lot!

hidefacts - Nah, let it drop

holyquestion - Slim chance it could go to a religious nut or charity, but you should probably drop it

lmfao - No commercial value, drop it

hel - I don't know enough to comment on this one

cities - Dunno

multithreading - Could be worth something, maybe

checkviruses - Not bad

I've definitely seen way worse first regs/purchases. The usual advice is to avoid random extensions and ccTLDs and concentrate on coms as that's where the biggest customer base is. Checkviruses is probably your best shot at a sale but will likely take a lot of waiting or some outbound marketing.

Good luck on your domaining journey!
