What exactly is a PREMIUM domain?

Google says things like "A domain becomes premium when someone believes that a particular domain name is more valuable than the average domain. Domains are considered premium for a large number of reasons including length, keywords and brandability." - so all registered domains are premium, according to this.

It's like a hot girl, you know it when you see it.

If you have to use the word "premium" to describe your domain, it's probably garbage.

PREMIUM domains can mean 2 things! Basicly it means that you handregister a domain/or buy it cheap and then sell it for larger amount.
2.a interpretation is: a one word dot com DICTIONARY-most common word.
(and ocause the 2l.com's and 3l.com's are also PREMIUM.
They are 0,5% of the existing domains available.(in the industry) /Peter

yes-ifs a quite good infograph. but sometimes opinions from
experts differ on what is a Premium domain.
But basically it need to be a keyword/dictionary one word.
But also numeric 3 numbers domains dot com and ofcause
3 letters dot come and 2 letters dot come are Premium domains.even the last are even Superpremium. and 2l.com
are Ultrapremium. because they are very hard to acquire.

a premium domain is a crappy domain that registrars can sucker beginners into believing it’s a premium domain & charge you WAY more than it’s really worth , lol

and then there was "premium.com"...
