I'm currently in the process of selling the domain name + website www.visit-amsterdam.com

The domain is 17 years old and has a top SEO position in Bing & Yahoo, and a medium good position in Google.

Anyone has an idea how much I should ask for it? I'm hoping for a low $xxxx , what do you guys/girls think?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
My opinion would be low $xxx, as Alexa doesn't return any data for this website and it has a dash that pretty much kills the domain. Other than that, the template looks nice and clean,.

Good luck

and the theme... well, you designed it bad.. for sure just wanted to make quick work..
the theme itself is good, but you used it bad.

Honestly speaking, the hyphen degraded the overall effect (value?) of the domain name itself.

Now coming to the website content, I just browsed this page: https://www.visit-amsterdam.com/top-10-architecture-highlights-in-amsterdam/

It has just pictures with a title, year, architect & location. You could add a couple of sentences of your own just to improve the quality of the content.
It feels as if you made the whole website hurriedly in a bid to sell it off (flip it) early. You seriously need to work on it, create social media accounts, gather some community and perhaps then try to sell it.

I wouldn't give anything more than $250 for everything, $250 - because it will save me time for the server/wordpress setup, etc.

When I did some analysis I didn't see much of a return since this doesn't seem to kw very well. I don't see very much potential ultimately.

The price depends on several factors. Some essential ones are: the domain, the number of daily visitors, placement in search engines, and current revenue if any.

Small niche sites could sell at 1-2 years of revenue. If the site does not generate any revenue and does not have many daily visitors you are essentially selling a domain. I find the domain decent and relevant to buyers running a network of local tourism sites.

You could start with the asking price you have in mind as a start of the negotiation. If possible always research the interested party.

It's not a great domain in all fairness, and to slap content on a free WP theme ( https://wordpress.org/themes/start-magazine/ ) with zero customization and uniqueness and very little done in the way of unique content, without solid revenue it just won't have a chance to sell.

While not a great example, hand registering something like FITAmsterdam.com , no dash, less characters, FIT can abbreviated, (first regd in 2006 so 13years old) costs under 10 bucks, has a little over 2000 backlinks from almost a 100 referring domains and with a bit of content will rank far higher than your current name.

Good luck but its a content cookie cutter as it stands in my humble opinion.

It's not bad. Even as it is, you could improve its value with social media links. Under attractions, you could give more info or links. This would improve seo. It looks to me as a site you could improve and potentially raise its value significantly. I'm not a fan of dashes in the name because there are too many benefits of not using them. Atm site value depends on revenue which it doesn't look as you have it. You could also add affiliate links and a directory of local helpful businesses.
What really stands out as missing for a tourist going to Amsterdam, which would draw him into your site, is useful content. There are a lot of possibilities - tourists stumble on the same problems when traveling. Then when you have that content you can try adding affiliate links for revenue
If you sell it now, I would need numbers to give an appraisal. I wouldnt sell it without adding to it
