Twitter is Being non-neutral and picking and choosing what domains can be posted. Conservative movements gaining popularity? Blocked!

This Domain "WeFundTheWall" has just been blocked by Twitter today.. wefundthewall began about a week ago by a triple amputee war veteran who has pushed for US citizens to self fund the border wall through GoFundMe. Within 3 days, the project gained $9 million and became the 5th largest GoFundMe ever. After a week it is currently at $16 million and gaining steam and popularity. It is now in the top 30 largest crowfunding projects ever of any kind on any platform including ICOs. Twitter didnt like it since they're liberal so they've blocked the domain.

Why does twitter get section 230 CDA protections if they do things like block the petition to a highly popular petition that resonates with half of america? Section 230 is for NEUTRAL sites

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Nice Christmas present from Twitter. And all the disgusting hate speech comments fueled by the MSM and celebrities like Jimmy Kimmels comments probably triggered it, and then that gave Twitter an excuse to ban it. Hopefully, it is an error and only temporary.

“Brian Kolfage mountains of abuse after he was trashed by the Daily Beast, Jimmy Kimmel, Alyssa Milano and other high-profile liberals.
The hate mail provided to the Gateway Pundit contains appalling statements such as people asking if his brain was “amputated too,” calling him a “handicapped bitch,” telling him to commit suicide, wishing harm upon his children and mocking him for having lost his limbs while fighting for this nation.”

The domain is showing as http. The domain is not blocked, only a warning before proceeding. Simply needs a SSL.

The lack of security is similar to the NamesCon auction domain submission page.

Thanks for the heads-up.

This move by Twitter looks more sinister -- the payments are done via check or via GoFundMe. The info site does not need to be SSL. Twitter is adding friction by seeding fear, uncertainty and doubt.

I added a comment on his Tweet:

I also sent him an email just now. If anyone here knows Brian personally, perhaps PM me.

The info site is a petition, gathering personal information through a link. The GoFundMe link is not blocked, as it is https.

Update: The info/petition site is now showing as https and should be reviewed by Twitter and cleared.

And Facebook censored him previously.

Gofundme is https. Twitter shouldn’t be the arbiter of what a secure website is. Even a website with an SSL can be dangerous (see: every website that has advertising trackers, google ad doubleclick tracking cookies, malware, etc).

Go to your favorite mainstream news website and Ghostery will tell you 30 different ad trackers, adware and malware have attached themselves to you unsolicited. Will twitter block the domains of sites like Vox.com that attach 20 adware tracking devices to my computer? No. Of course not. There was more than one piece of adware from Vox that registered as malware to my scanner. Twitter doesn’t care because Vox makes twitter lots of money + Vox is an ultra liberal anti-trump website

A cheap SSL certificate is never going to prove a website is secure because ssl certificates can be spoofed for example. They’re false senses of security. Whats the next step? Force website URLs to be EV SSLs? Now you’re putting a legitimately expensive price tag on free speech. I’d even even argue the cheapest SSL is too expensive for “proving to be a secure website” to twitter because ssl is virtually meaningless for this type of site

Twitter is not a security company, nor do they have a good track record in terms of security. Leave the security up to the web browser, operating system, and user. Period

Yes, the GoFundMe site in the Twitter link is NOT flagged, it is https. The domain in the users profile is also NOT flagged and has https.

The third domain, at one time did not have https (you can see that in the OP post) and was flagged. The flagged domain is collecting private information as it is a petition site.

Three domains. Two with https, NOT flagged. One with NO https, flagged.

Do you see a pattern?

Yeah but why does twitter care about https? That can be spoofed. Twitter, with their long dumpster fire of a history of security issues, should not be the arbiter of security and decide what is secure and what isn’t. Https isn’t a surefire way of determining secure websites. That can be spoofed by any beginner to intermediate hacker. Ssl certs can be forged, stolen, faked, etc there is long history of fake SSLs tricking people on phishing websites and other nefarious websites

Why does Twitter care?

The link is coming from their platform.

Any website that collects private information should have an SSL. It's for the best interest of those signing the petition, as that website will undoubtedly be attacked. Why leave the front door open?

It's against humanity to make wall & ban human being accessing the life-saving things. May God help all poor & helpless person from dirty politics.

What I wonder that,

I have seen many peoples from "Western Block' that they care a lot for Animals & they do everything to help them & rescue them but they do not care about "Poor helpless people" who got in trouble because of "Super Powers" wanted to make their "Countries" into their own "Play Ground" and "Testing Labs" of their futures deadly "Gifts".
