Interesting domain name, is this worth anything crazy? How are these 2 character domains appraised?
if you have to ask ,I really don't think you own this domain.Interesting domain name, is this worth anything crazy? How are these 2 character domains appraised?
I don't remember the last time that I seen a LN.com for sale...double checked
https://namebio.com/?s==cTO0kzN4gTM
how do you appraise a rare combination (26 letters X 10 numbers = 260 combinations)
or even a great acroymn ..1 metre 1 mile ..etc
All I know if I can get (budget wise) I would and store it for a "rainy day!" (long term portfolio, liquid domains)
I kind of understand your logic for 3 characters domains.Rarity is good but it is not everything.
There are almost 3 lll.coms for every LNN.com, and yet for 1 LLL you can buy around 15-20 LNNs. So the wholesale value is around 1/50
If the same logic is applied with 2C, then wholesale value for LN would be in low-mid xx,xxx.
I kind of understand your logic for 3 characters domains.
Thing is there is a lots of categories of 3 characters like NNN, N-N, N-L, L-N, L-L, LLL, L-L etc
In my history, there is a sale of a
N-N portfolio (not.com).. basically I approached another N-N and (right person, right mentality) used this pitch.."how, would you like to own 60+% (Mine + his) of all the N-N market.. rarity what attrached me and most likely sold the portfolio
Anyway to my point..really believe the logic doesn't apply to 2 characters domain..at least not as much!
Do yo know any two character domain name, .com, without "o" "0" "4" "i" "e" "v" "l" in this range???Most value in .com names comes from sale potential to end users.
And only small percentage of end users mix numbers and letters in their brands.
For every 3M there are hundreds and thousands just letter companies. How many NL company names can you recall from the top of your head?
Again, rarity is good, but multiple potential end users are even better.
Let's try another approach to derive value.
EA.com would be (just domain) worth around $1MM wholesale. I bought N+EA.com for around $1K, i.e. 1/1000 of the EA wholesale value.
if M.com were for sale, it would fetch in $10MM to 20MM region wholesale.
1/1000 of that would be $10K to 20K. Maybe, higher because of higher liquidity at this price range. So still, even with best estimate, this is mid $xx,xxx wholesale name.
Namebio results confirm this with only 3 6 digit sales reported and those are for meaningful combos (3w.com, 3d.com, 3c.com)
BQDN sold 3L.com recently for just $82K and that is very very meaningful name for the best liquid segment in the whole domain industry. I am guessing, they bought it for half that wholesale themselves, as they will make very lowball offers for great names.
There are even quite a few $xxxx sales from as recent as 2011.
I am guessing, if you make a budget of $50K and send offers to all LN and NL .com owners, few will accept your offer.
Do yo know any two character domain name, .com, without "o" "0" "4" "i" "e" "v" "l" in this range???
Great points @Recons.Com..
Only LN that comes to mind is "F1" and only NL is "3D"
Yes trademark "Formula 1" racing...I just posted that as a example that came to mind for a LN domain.. redirects to https://www.formula1.com/f1=tm
F1.com worth more than millions $
Yes, Anyone knows price range for 1M.COM?That is the value of the business and brand, not purely that of the domain.
Amazon.com is worth a $trillion by the same logic.
