I got this because I find that this color resembles luxury which works well with hotels.

Appraise this name pls.

Luxury works with hotels, and mauve might work with the decor, but it doesn't work in the name for me.

Thanks for the honest opinion, anyone else?

The hotel would literally have to be mauve or have something to do with the color. A huge hotel looking for a domain related to "mauve" seems like a needle in a haystack. Unless you know of one you can outbound to.

Low to mid $xxx and move on....

Hi mate, thanks for the input. My idea for the color is what it resembles, just like red for porn (redtube), green for environment, blackrock (multi billion investment company), blue for technology, yellow for transportation/construction/storage, etc.

Also, a simple search has led me to several hotels, suites, and restaurants with "mauve" in their names. These are located in Nigeria, France, Ireland, India, Algeria, Bangkok, etc.

Not planning to outbound just yet, willing to hold it till the right buyer comes, but the idea is 'mauve' can be used in recreational places and it implies to elegancy/luxury. They might use the color in the theme, for the ambience, but this doesn't mean they'd have to paint the whole place in mauve though.

Of course, your opinion is appreciated and I surely am going to take it into consideration.

Actually you're gambling with the chance that someone shares exactly your thought.
You may wait forever. I think according to Jimbo, outbound is the way.
Among those you mentioned (f.e. the MauveOrchid), pick those who don't have their major keyword
in their domain. This is your silent argument. Best of luck!

I might end up building a hotel just so I can make good use of this domain name haha! Will do outbound for sure but I prefer to wait (could be a couple of years) before I do. I don't have much to lose and it is just a pack of cigarettes worth per year after all. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this, it is much appreciated.

I like your view and comfort to this and hope it'll lead to rather a hotel or at least a carton of cigs in return ;) Cheers!

Yep that's my view to this domaining business. My limit is 365 domains, that's when I'll know I'd have to quit smoking to cover renewal fees. It is a win win situation if you think of it this way. Cheers!
