the only thing I ask that you consider when appraising reficonsultants.com is that there is an active site named refi.com that was purchased for 500K in 2013. Here are the particulars from Namebio;

refi.com 500,000 USD 2017-03-12 Buckley Media Group

i'd appreciate any feedback. thanks,

Bulloney

Hey Rich,

Well I learned something new... I had never heard of "refi" as a shortened form of "refinance". So I guess my first concern with the name would be that Joe Public has also never heard of the term (or also highly possible: I'm way out of touch with the finance industry).

My second concern is that Googling "refinance consultants" and "refinancing consultants" produces very few results. So perhaps it's not a common or popular term in the industry?

Won't attempt an actual appraisal without more info, but if "refi" is indeed a common/popular term, and a refinancing consultant is a more popular job than what Google suggests, it could be a solid name. Otherwise, it looks like a miss.

Joe...thanks for the appraisal attempt, but "refi" to refinance in the US is very similar to what "tech" is to technnology worldwide. I would have expected someone here on NamePro's to have pointed that out, but I have enough detractors, they wouldn't point out anything like this, unless it was to discredit me:xf.wink: This was the very reason I pointed out Refi.com is a live site that was purchased for 500K in 2013. Maybe they don't do refi's in Canada, but everyone I know in the states, who has had anything to do with home ownership or a mortgage, is very familiar with the term "refi". Don't take my word for it Joe, but maybe you might want to try again. Thanks,

Bulloney

We live in our own little world up here in Canada. :)

The term "refi" definitely seems to be used in some websites. I just wasn't able to find that much mention of a "refinancing consultant".

Interesting name, though. Good luck with it!

Thanks Joe...you had me doing more research on the Refi industry as a whole, and I discovered that's it's a 1.2 Trillion dollar industry as reported by The Motley Fool; https://www.fool.com/investing/2016/10/27/could-this-12-trillion-industry-save-lending-club.aspx

thus, in addition to RefiConsultants.com, I just hand registered;

iRefiMortgageLoans.com
iRefiStudentLoans.com
iRefiAutoLoans.com
iRefiLoans.com

Thanks again Joe... i do some consulting work for one National lender, and a Regional lender. Who knows, properly presented they may have an interest in all these domains:xf.wink:

Researching the financial industry is good. I'd be curious to do some research into how many "refi" domain names sell for decent money.

Here are some from NameBio;

RefiDirect.com $1,410 11/17
RefiGuide.com $995.00
Refi.com $500,000 3/17
RapidRefi $6,000 5/16
RefiBroker $1,100 4/15

I've never done and official appraisal myself, but I guess the next step is to see how much other "consultant/s" names sell for.

Joe...I know the market for Refi's is huge, and getting the right refinancing deal can save a borrower tens of thousands of dollars over the life of a loan.

Again, thanks for sharing.

Rich
