WIth the proliferation of highly publicized ransomware cases, I thought I'd pick up something simple to educate and bring awareness to this crime. Although you can't decrypt AES-256 encrypted files in a lifetime (actually, millions of years) you can certainly take precautions. I tried for several variations of common antiransomware names and they were registered. All I would need is a white label/white box anti-malware app., combined with some advice from a blog on my site and it could certainly help prevent ransomware from ruining one's life.
