Hi,
so I explain.
I still have no idea if I want to develop it or sell, but I want to make traffic.
I just connceted AdSense a few days ago.
At the moment I have 42 posts, I just used wiki and other source for information and tried to edit all nicely.
To avoid problem I add sorce link at the end of the post.
I plan to finish with all these 42 posts and then begin to make 1 post each day.
Each day - a new destination.
I know I need to work also with logo, by the moment it is just a clipart jet image, but I will make it unique later.
I also have a fb public but still without followers.
Please, give me some ideas.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Start on the homepage by asking questions like "What type of travel would you like?"
Options:
  • Honeymoon
  • Adventure
  • Family Holiday
  • Kids Holiday
  • Weekend Gateway

Tag your places with relevant holiday type. That will help visitors which options to look for instead of being lost with so many options. Be a virtual guide, that will add some value.

And the right sidebar with counries menu leave as it is now..

Imagine you going to a book store, and being presented with 10k books. Would you even try buying? Same happens with visitors when they land on a website with so many travel options. I mean there are thousands of beautiful places around the world, how do I know the right one for me if I don't have someone guide me?

On your website, you need to help visitors through this journey of not knowing where to go - to knowing exactly where to go - and why - if you're able to make that happen, you win.

How do you make that happen? Here is one option:
  1. De-clutter your homepage. Use something like what UrbanPro does urbanpro (dot) com - Ask one single question. To make things easier, you can have them select answer from a drop-down menu instead of providing a text-box. You will need to design a series of questions that give you information like: their travel preference (solo/couple/family with kids etc.), budget, preferred country, type of travel. Once you have all this info, present them the filtered options in a grid view. See if you fetch reviews from TripAdvisor or something.
There could be more ways of getting this done, but you get where this is going? You are not just another travel portal, you are a virtual tour guide.

@Krinal Mehta,
Thanks, I will think about what your suggestion.
I explain you what kind of website I wanted to create.
I just wanted some kind of National Geographic Magazine that will post just amazing or unusual places.
Not exactly a travel portal, but some kind of Journal with rare and strange places grouping by countries.
Thats why I didnt add "how to get there" below the content.
That was my inicial idea.
What do you think?

Good idea. Any magazine, even Nat Geo has an index. Why? Because the users know what to expect where, and where to go to read certain type of information. So while the idea of creating the content that you are up to looks great, you will need to arrange/sort it in a way that's more consumable. #imo

For your niche, you should start engaging audience on different travel portals like TP, etc.

I like the design! It's clean and the images are nicely optimised. Your ad placement is good!
Krinal Mehta has offered some really good advice. I think if you follow his advice re-helping the visitors navigate and understand your site.

Once suggestion I would offer is to try and make the content as unique as possible, maybe a little longer as well. This will give you a better chance to rank in search engines for more keywords as well.

I like how you have added a map a the bottom of each destination/article.

Your logo slogan could probably use different wording. Would You Like To Travel?
Maybe something like Krinal Mehta suggested - Where Would You Like To Travel?

As for traffic - Facebook, Instagram and pinterest.
Create a page and start engaging with people who love to travel. Nice images of beautiful destinations will get shares and like plus if you have links back to your site - there's some traffic :)

Maybe also offer a newsletter. Collect peoples emails - this will also increase the value of the site if you sell it.
If you have a good social following and email subscribers it will only add to the value...

Good luck.
