Do you guys give up in domaining yet? Or are you thirsty for more?

Well, I make a full time living from domaining. A very good one actually. Many domainers lose money because they focus on collecting domains or winning many auctions rather than buying a few at the right price. In reality, if you want to make it a business, you gotta focus on buying very low...

Domain Buyer's Payment Issues with Dan.com

Just had a buyer get payment rejected multiple times even after speaking with bank and approving the transaction. Main issue was buyer in US while Dan in Amsterdam. Buyer gave up. Trying to revive the sale.

There's no money in domain names... this industry full of bullsh*t.

Perhaps you are better off asking for help rather than calling an industry a lie...

    Afternic - Official Thread

@GoDaddy .. I have some feedback about the afternic custom checkout link. I really like the feature of the reduced commission for private sales but it's very confusing for buyers because of all the brands involved. I have already had buyers not wanting to use the link because I tell them it's...

    Undeveloped is now DAN.COM

IMO the name "undeveloped" was like mentioning a "con" instead of a "pro" from a sales perspective. If a domain isn't developed, why advertise it as "undeveloped". Being developed is a "pro" and that would be worth mentioning but otherwise it's more a negative than a positive. Not to mention...

opinion Why We Need The Domain Aftermarket

Not to mention, most people lose money with domain names. The ones that are profitable, basically turn over a mere 1-2% of inventory a year. "Domainers" are giving them a lot of volume and business that wouldn't otherwise exist.

    I Couldn't access Undeveloped.com

I sold about 5 last week via them but 4 were all outbound and small sales. 1 inbound, small sale as well. Two $xxxx sales via afternic. I am still testing them and comparing it to efty which I've used successfully for a while now. It's been too little time to tell. Will give it a few more weeks...

    discuss My outbound experience

If you are offering good domains at the right prices, it doesn't really matter the amount of emails sent, open rate, replies, etc. You only need 1 buyer. My outbound sales rate is generally 1 sale per 5 marketed domains. So If I market 5 in a day, I normally get 1 sale. Only about 20-70 emails...

    Afternic - Official Thread

The silence from afternic is worrisome and strange indeed. I searched afternic reviews on google and it seems there might be others complaining on trustpilot about payouts not received (and also from the lack of communication or response)...

    Afternic - Official Thread

@GoDaddy - Please make fast transfer payouts much much faster. There currently isn't anything "fast" about "fast transfer" (quite the opposite). Waiting 7-10 days for a payout sucks. Most domain investors can manually complete transfers just as fast anyways.

discuss Does anyone actually buy or sell over the Christmas period ?

Have one pending sale from today... (outbound) The internet never closes and although people step away from their computers, most are wired through their cell phones anyways...

    discuss How's my outbound text?

When you do outbound marketing constantly, you will come across some repeated end users from time to time. That's why. Say this month you do outbound for a financial related domain. 3 months later you do outbound for a domain targeted towards a similar or closely related subject/industry, and...

Pheenix domains being moved to Encirca

Just received this, which is not pleasant at all. Years ago I used encirca and it sucked. Not sure whether they have improved or not. Anyone familiar with them at this time? Welcome to EnCirca! EnCirca (www.encirca.com) was selected by ICANN to manage the bulk transfer of domain names from...

    .CO Domain Registrations at Epik

While I don't agree with the Registry's backstabbing business model, I have to disagree on the selling side. I've sold 2 .Co's this year via inbound out of 120 I hold which is why I bought 218 more during this promo. I would have bought more but that's what I was able to find that had value and...

    .COM @ $1.99

Marketing Gimmick... That's why I usually ignore all promo offers from unknown registrars... Not worth it having domains spread into even more places... Edit: I wouldn't blame Soofi... He simply shared the offer which is better than not sharing it at all.
