sales Ten of the Best Domain Hacks in Active Use

Firstly thank you @Bob Hawkes for another in-depth article as always. I think certain domain hacks like cyb.org , vir.us , li.me etc provide a unique aesthetic and what I would consider a sub niche of brandable domains. There may still be work needed for mainstream internet users to be aware...

    question Estibot ? vs GoDaddy

Agreed that they are misleading and inconsistent as some actual sales differ vastly from appraisals but I think they can be useful when 'screening' expired lists or names to hand register to determine which may have value BUT must be complimented by other valuation techniques.

    Where am I going wrong?

Same here. Have same challenge but most Buyer requests state that they get a large number of DMs and it is not feasible to reply to every message so if they don't respond then your domain is something they are not interested in. Don't take it personal. Also many requests will have a set budget...

My three and a half years in Domaining

In addition this industry is like learning howto ride a bicycle or learning how to swim. Despite all the advice one has to do it themselves to fully understand what works at what specific time.

    domain CovidGuide . com

I have just visited covid//com and it says they have been in business for 35 years making audio and video connectivity products from USB cables, HDMI cables and many more. I did not see a "TM" in superscript next to the name to indicate any trademark but it is possible. In this case you...

    Where am I going wrong?

True. I changed my profile picture from Deadpool to my current one after the issue regarding the profile picture for one of the NamePros users that sparked a very heated discussion. In the end a link to the rules and regulations was posted again and one part states that no celebrity or a parody...

My three and a half years in Domaining

Thank you for sharing and I am in my second year of domaining and no sale. I need the validation of a few sales and I too intend to share my experience. Interestingly enough I have found some things that I expected to be easy are really difficult and at times something I thought would be...

advice Need your advice to help selling my domains

I consider myself an advanced beginner until I make a few consistent sales. There is a lot to learn. Also on the namepros forums, under Niche discussions there should be threads on 4L dotcoms and 4L dotnets since that seems to be an area you are interested in you may read topics there and learn...

    discuss Brokers, outbound and domaining

As an addition, I read something where a broker stated that some domain purchases occur when a broker pitches a domain name to his/her contacts that have been built over time e.g repeat buyers like domain portfolio investors, website portfolio investors, serial entrepreneurs etc...

discuss How do most big level brokers get big sales

Please note the responses are based on what I have read online and I do not have first hand experience with these below but I sincerely believe the information to be accurate to the best of my knowledge. Yes this is the first step. Most Brokers only accept domains with a certain amount of...

https://www.namepros.com/threads/guidelines-for-usernames-and-profile-photos.1027786/ Above is the link to the updated rules and regulations that were posted in the thread I mention earlier by one of the moderators. It is possible that the celebrity and trademark rule could be a new addition...

I meant owners of such domins will have challenges as possible buyers of the domain would be reluctant to buy and use such domains as they are associted with 'hacking'.

advice Outbound to a marketing executive - personal email or business?

My view is business email. Yes you cn contact someone senior or the marketing person (if your domain is valuable enough) using their personal business ( e.g nameofmarketingperson@thebusinessname) email as opposed to their site general email which may not reach the relevant person. Reason: I...

    discuss Inheritance in domain name?

I read a similar thread and it was mentioned that epik have a service where a client can request for their domain portfolio to be handled by epik in line with their wishes in case they are incapacitated or pass on. I am not sure if others in the domain industry offer such a service or not. Also...
