Should companies participate in forums/blogs?

I voted Yes - it's fine as long as they participate. Too much of promotion might not be acceptable to a number of people on forums though.

question How do you create a perceived need among Geo buyers?

First things first, email them all personally. Adding all parties in to page and sending the email once is dubious approach IMHO. Now about demand, more often than not people who ask how would name benefit them would not buy the name, I have sold some in above scenario and here's how it went...

GoDaddy increases DDC price 2x - $240 a year

That's some serious raise which hints at greed more than anything else, kind of disregards the purpose of "discount club" Too bad, I am forced to use them as most of my sales are outbound within 60 days lock and most end users prefer Godaddy. If this wasn't case, I'd 100% without a doubt use...

There are quite a few people around here who wake up after all these years and all they want is to drag dirt on DAN and the platform. DAN is an intermediary and not an actual domain name seller - if I sell a domain name on DAN and do not act in time to transfer the domain - DAN can't deliver it...

Escrow.com just closed my account for public complaint on them

They updated the list recently I guess, this for me and many others means Escrow is no more an option. Here I come DAN and other Escrow companies.
