I tried £0.5 com domain deal at www.uk2.net. It didn't work. It doesn't seem like a professional registrar either. They pre-authorized the transaction and said they'll review the order in 24h. Then I saw in CC balance that they canceled pre-authorization. No notification from UK2 whatsoever. I...

With Hostpapa, it did take a while (3 days), but they registered my 10 .coms finally and I'm happy so far. I can set custom nameservers and request transfer EPP from the dashboard easily.

That's "normal" in their book. Same happened to me and everyone else. No, it goes much faster when you're registered. I can't tell exactly, but it's still not instant. Domain appears in the dashboard within 1-2 hours from order maybe. I'm not sure if this makes any difference, but I go to...

Here's a twist. After not hearing from Hostpapa for 2 days after an order, I become the suspect. They ask to take pictures of me and credit card front to prevent fraud :woot:

nominalia.com still seems to run $1 promotion. You can register 2 domains and the process is much smoother than Hostpapa.

No problems so far. I was able to set nameservers for external hosting (1&1). I don't know about push or transfer yet. There's an option to send auth code to email. I didn't try this as you can't transfer in the first 60 days anyway.

Their €0.49 offer is still valid, but it's for EU citizens only. I guess that's why more people aren't using/reviewing it. Support replied fast, but provided inaccurate information that offer has no limitations. After chatting more, I was told that offer is limited to Europe only. In the end...
