Well shared, similar to my view, get it working and meet a need, flush out what a new marketplace really provides.. then enhance.. then scale.
this is of course the opposite of the startup playbook which somewhere must say..
1. find a need
2. determine how a new marketplace can seem to fit...
thanks jase. i dig these communities of interest.
so i started with vr on my search list in 2005-2011 and always liked it, but that was in the days of keywords are everything... so usually was the only snapper or bidder on tdnam.
held, actually dropped prices a couple of times.
then this year...

That is a long fall from the day when this title owned personal finance in the USA. But with a good (Great!) domain name you can always make a strong exit versus going out of business.

these work great.... BUT.
realize a leasee may try to gain homesteader type rights, or even worse operate in a manner that makes it appear they own the name... and open the name itself up to lawsuit, judgements etc.
so i would add some language they need represent BlahBlah.com (operated...
Thank you JamesAndrew for the post, it seems to me the buyer realized he was buying a too good to be true, but it was worth it because it could have been a hard-up seller, or some other reason , and from his accountability after he knew he was taking some risks, but for him they were worth it...

I posted today on dn.biz about a buyers perspective on buying their .com name for their business. I think this medium article i reference, even thought two years ago, helps us learn about the end users' perspective. Hopefully the next Medium article can shed some more positive light about the...
thanks, i saw my offers increase in number on godaddy auctions last year and sold 3-4 at $1k-$3k. There system was so messed up, still requires a user to join auctions marketplace to bid or make offers - so i never seemed to get a counter bid.
i think vr can really bring back the...
