You may have to create the domain list first, with something like textmechanic.com, than run that through the 5000 bulk search at Namebright. Or the 500,000 bulk search at estibot.com (less up to date/reliable). That's how I do it anyway.

The buzz where? In China? I'm curious where you are hearing this. Mr Xu's comments might have had something to do with the dip in prices. But I doubt it because 5L.coms have been getting reg'd at the rate of 60k per day for the last 10 days. No effect there. Other spaces getting eaten as well...

I think the enduser demand anticipated by current Chinese investors (the big ones, buying thousands of domains) is on a 20 year horizon. Enduser demand has not exploded overnight, and will not, but investor interest in this market has. Think about how many more people you have talked to about...

I am glad to hear this perspective, even while not fully agreeing with it. It helps to have all points of view on the table when making investment decisions. No one knows for sure what will happen with 4L.net (5L.com, 6N/7N/8N.com, etc, etc). And it's good not to get caught up in a buying frenzy...

I'm not so sure. I wanted to pick up 100 from yesterday's list. I selected about 25 last night and put them in my shopping cart, but didn't buy them. This morning all were reg'd. And half of the ones I wanted to reg today were gone - from yesterday. Crazy..

Yes the balance of supply and demand has changed due to the Chinese holiday. Prices will probably continue to slip a little this week, creating an opportunity to buy or at least hold. I am eager to see what happens next week.

Statistically speaking based on the average rate of sale, you could expect to sell 1 domain per year for every 40 that you have listed. That's assuming your names are of average quality - not better or worse. 0 sales for 6 names over 6 months would be the expectation, just based on the numbers.
