Should I make offer directly to domain owner in this case?

Network Solutions Domain Grace Period ends in 10 days, and on that 10th day a "Pre-Release" auction begins at Namejet. Namejet shows 35 bidders already. Should I contact the owner and try a direct buy before grace period ends? My fear is that the owner will simply renew and keep or resell for...

what is really happening with this domain? enom whois currently shows a domain status as pendingDelete and it also says "reactivation period" at top of the whois info. The domain does not show up as pending delete at namejet, pool, or snapnames. Nor does it currently show as pre-release at...

actually it turned out to be a temporary problem with their site - any domain I searched returned "no domains found" - it is working again now, but it caused me to not be able to backorder a domain that was dropping.

Pending delete at pool and Snapnames but not Namejet?

a domain shows as pending delete at both pool.com and snapnames, but at namejet it does not show up at all. What could cause this?
