It's a bit of a conundrum Steve. their have been a lot of changes to the big search engine algorithms recently. Two things sping to mind, possibly some developers think that geo-domains are saturated, moreoever, some may think SEO holds more weight than having the geo within the domain. best...

hi, .mobi still has a place in the mobile world, for mobile related keywords better to own one decent .mobi than a 1000 that have no relevence to mobile phones. I still own 2, thats my excuse for owning them - and im sticking with it! :rolleyes: best regards.

it's probably because its very much a buyers market at the moment - they prob get so many domains submitted they can afford to be extremely picky.

Client pays $500 for two .com's less then a year ago and I pick them up in expired

it may be a lot of people (non-domainers) dont even contemplate re-selling/renewing their domains they've bought for development purposes that for whatever reason turn out to be surplus to their requirements. so they end up dropped. $500 to some people is bird feed.

hi, has anyone has any success selling domains that use the country code as a keyword within the domain name? for example UK/keywordkeyword/UK.com instead of keywordkeyword.co.uk im curious because i happened to spot a security-van floating around my area yesterday advertising...

Infinity, putting my conspiracy theorist hat on for a moment - maybe Google, Yahoo & MS (the major .mobi backers) all failed to actively promote .mobi because they knew it would effect their web-based ad revenues if the extension took off. basically, from what i can see, they've done a grand job...

try to invent unique keywords, that dont compete with allready well-established sites within your chosen niche - especially when those sites have trademarks in place. try to get a refund if you can. best regards.
