An easier way to get the Hostname for PHP 5.1.2+ is:
$host = parse_url($_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'], PHP_URL_HOST);
If you don't have 5.1.2+, you could use the list function to get it. But you really should have it by now.

An easier way is just to use the built-in wp_list_pages function. Extremely easy to use, don't think it needs to be in The Loop.

W3Schools and then straight to www.PHP.net
Although there's various places to start, you really need to use PHP.net when you get more advanced, best resource there is.

Wow, no offence but that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

I tried some quick code and it worked fine for me.
<?php
error_reporting(E_ALL);
$cookie = "Wee"; // Well it needs a value...
if(isset($_GET['del'])) {
setcookie('siteLogin', "", time() - 31104000);
setcookie("test", "", time() - 36000);
echo "Deleted cookies...
I'd like to know why you're doing this. But I think the method you're looking for is.

It obviously depends on the browser used.
Call your variable $var.
preg_match("/serif>(.*)<input/",$var,$matches);
print_r($matches);
It could obviously be made more precise by expanding it, it could also use [A-Z0-9_-] instead of .*
But... Enjoy :p
Open_basedir is on... I'll quote SecondVersion's excellent reply to another thread:
------------------------------------
You have open_basedir on...
There are 4 ways you could fix it, any one of these should work for you.
Disable open_basedir in php.ini
If there is some sort of...
Admin Panel => Options => Permalinks.
Custom structure: /%postname%
Or... to have the Post ID after it.
Custom Structure: /%postname%-%post_id%/
.htaccess to CHMOD 777 is easiest, otherwise you'll have to copy the code it gives you.

Off the top of my head.
