Welcome! I'm a newbie like you. I've been doing what gilescoley suggested - reading, reading, and reading. There is so much information on here. I feel like I'll never reach the end of it. It's great! It can be a little overwhelming sometimes, but you just have to power on through.

question Will Apple rename the brand after acquiring "Shazam"?

When I hear Shazam, my first thought is of Shaq in Kazaam, so that's basically the same thing (except it's real :joyful:). I imagine it's different for people who actually use Shazam though. I can't say for sure because I've never used it.

I think Maxtra's advice is going to give you the most professional look. If you'd rather not have to deal with multiple email accounts (which I can totally understand), I don't think it would look incredibly unprofessional to use a Gmail account. Then you can easily link your domain accounts...

I'm not sure what you mean by using the name of a credit card. You mean using something like "Sapphire Preferred" or something? I would assume big companies like Visa, not to many big financial companies, would make sure to trademark everything for security reasons.

I would assume that they would be trademarked. Once a network has put in the money to go ahead and film beyond the pilot, I think they probably have a trademark in place. Now, maybe you would have more luck by finding shows that have yet to be officially filmed, but there would be more risks...

I agree with triplec0086. The company has been around for what, 15 years and has never changed its brand name? I think it'd be a mistake to give up everything that comes along with having an established brand name. I bet it would end up being a very minimal change, like iShazam.
