This is what I was thinking: Thoughts appreciated. Also, Liam, GIMP can import things from Adobe Photoshop. This logo was done in InkScape, which is free anyway, but just for future reference, GIMP can import and export PSDs.

I was trying to use the blue gradient to remove the division between the water and sky. I will try to add in a green background, if you show me what shade of green. I can also just make the gradients and shading green. It's ultimately up to you.
