OK heres the King Don rap sheet
The first time I was falsely arrested was in Slidell Louisiana during a party, I was 23. The cops came to the party, found "one joint" and then started questioning us all. When they got to me, they heard my New York accent, and that was enough to arrest me for possession and of coarse "resisting arrest", they beat me up pretty good that night.
My second experience with being falsely arrested happened on Bourbon street. My buddy and I had just came from dinner with his parents and these girls we were dating. We were simply walking to our cars, when these two well dressed guys walked by us and almost knocked my buddy over. My Buddy said "hey watch where you're walking", they came back to him and I said "aren't you guys cops,"? They arrested him and told me to leave, I started to cause a scene because this was pure Bulls**t so they arrested me for "resiting arrest" (that comes with the hand cuffs) and disorderly conduct. They put us in a tent city, and made us wait 3 days (holiday weekend) before letting us use a phone. We told everyone that we were going river rafting that weekend, no one even thought something was wrong till we were able to call.
Number 3 was on my birthday in Bilouxi Missippi, we were heading back to a friends house with 2 hot chicks that wanted to smoke pot and have sex (sex, drugs and King Dons Rock and Roll). Ok here's where I committed a crime, I threw a hamburger rapper out the window and the next thing you know, lights are flashing everywhere. The deputy shines the light in the car and notice's a birthday sized bag of weed on the front seat, we all went to the pokie that night. the moral of this story is "Don't litter", it can lead to getting arrested.
Number 4 was in New York state at Hunter Mountain (ski town), just finished playing a club and we got wasted, got a little to loud for the locals when we slipped outside for some fresh air ( I don't think I replied, "I'm sorry sir, were we disturbing you?") Slept if off in lockup, simple disorderly, a definite memento experience
Number 5 was the best of them all. I was with a bunch of guys camping in Georgia, the tires on my truck were not looking so hot, so I went in and bought new rims and tires at the Goodyear dealer. Now while everyone else was drinking and yahooing at the lake, I went to this little hill to test out the traction of my new tires. I was arrested for driving on an unauthorized road by the park police.
And yes lotsofissues, these are my pot related stories. Sorry to disappoint you guys who wanted murder and mayhem, just a musician who liked to drink, smoke pot and chase women, it's kinda funny when you look back.
