It is not the employer that pays the wages... Employers just handle the money. It is the customer who pays the wages.- Henry Ford

They treat their customers like crap. I cannot get any customer service. It is unbelievable!!! Kevin can you please help me?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
i have noticed a very rapid decline as well and domains seem to be getting much lower prices on there. Right now im only using flippa to buy names as there are some bargain prices being offered on that platform.

The business has so much potential but they are running it into the ground

Did they just completely cut their customer support? I can't get ahold of anyone over there. I have been trying for two days.

I've honestly watched flippa auctions for the past 3 months and have seen a steady decline in the site traffic. Right now it feels like tumble weeds are rolling through. They have terrible customer service, treat their respected members like garbage (read my thread). Flippa is a good example of how not to run a business unless your plan is to run it into the ground.

my last support help arrived about 2-3 weeks after filing ticket.

I still get some sales done there.. and on godaddy.. versus zero on afternic or sedo..so I'm nowhere near closing account there or stopping biz with them.. but.. flippa support as well as the overall user interface leave much to be desired.

I haven't sold anything on Flippa yet (maybe due to my average or below average domains), but Flippa support team has been great for me. I see many people are facing the issue that the reply from support comes very late but whenever I submit a ticket, I receive a reply in max 2-3 hours, always from someone named Ashley. I have never paid a penny to Flippa, only used free credits that were collected from appraisals. Don't get why so many of you face this issue.

Flippa has the best and fastest support team when compared to other marketplaces imho.

Same for me: never had a problem, whether buying or selling. The support usually answered in the same day. It is really weird, like we are talking about different Flippas.

I have to say (on the few occasions when I have contacted them for assistance) I found the customer support excellent. Quick response and very helpful.

This is just my personal experience of course.

Best,
Paul

Ashley from theit support team was very professional and solved all of my problems. I do think flippa is havING trouble with their CS department, however, everything has been resolved.

a better support or biz model is to have more than one great asset.

I think the support issue really pales in comparison when we consider the vulnerabilities of their platform more generally- after all that is what is at the foundation of why we use Flippa. I have used Flippa once only. From that singular, limited experience I gained some first-hand of the complete saturation of the platform. But is was through doing due diligence that I discovered it's many other weaknesses including: vulnerability to shill bidding, multitude of unvetted members (many of whom appear to be aliases), a lack of any serious member verification procedure etc.

I feel it right to be critical because being the unique auctionhouse in the domaining industry that it is, it holds responsibility. The concept is great- offering domainers the opportunity to reach the wider market through a good interface, offering the ability to provide a sales pitch etc. These are all great ideas but the flaws in security and member vetting remain critical to their success...

So, you posted last night that our CS team was unresponsive, and then posted this morning that Ashley helped you and solved everything? Just making sure it's all set now. If not, what is your CS ticket ID #?

It took a couple days but everything has been resolved. Thanks Kevin

Thanks @Mr Dobalina ~ Glad all is resolved. Our CS team really is quite good, albeit across multiple timezones, sometimes things get delayed or misplaced. Always bring issues to my attention and I will pass it along to the team.

Would like some more clarification as to your original / first post, albeit I know you must have been frustrated. But please edit if that is no longer applicable. Thanks

That's very Sad But True indeed.
Flippa lost their Genuine Buyer and Seller. We can see a Rapid Fall of flippa from ending months of 2015.
We can also see Flippa getting Lowest price on Liquid Domains like LLLL .com Chips than other marketplaces.
Flippa going worst in sales.
2014 I remember Weekly sales are over 1Million each week which is Hardly 200-300k Currently.
I personally listed many domains on flippa as I was a genuine Seller and enjoyed selling quick at great price, but its hardly possible currently :/
Losing Traffic may be because of Flippa's new Design which I personally didn't like.
Domains with their Title Featured on Homepage was the Uniqueness of Flippa making it more n more User Friendly !

Some Errors with Flippa Domains :-
1) Toooo many Garbage Domains listed ! Its just because NO Premium listing !! All listing it will normal upgrade of $9 or $49.
2) Domains with Opening BID of No Reserve are Already RESERVE MET !!!
I love to see n buy mainly from reserve met domains but this is too much there are TON's of Garbage names with NO BIDS already meeting their Reserve.
Hardly any Quality names !
3) As I mentioned before Web Design. It looks similar to Sedo and Namejet.
Flippa was much much Unique before !

Flippa is best for its Support. You'll get Quick Response from them anyday !!
Flippa should n must work more on Promotions, Advertising, SEO to back it's Original Charm Back !
Lastly Flippa Should bring back Premium listing For Domains For Quality Domains.

@FlippaDomains Hope u find it useful for further improvements

Thanks

I do like the idea of reserve met domains without bids. It will be even better if the reserve met filter display auctions where the next bid will meet reserve as well.

In the previous system, it is almost impossible to find domains with no reserve and no bids, and some good domains were unnoticed and unsold with zero bids, how will this help buyers and sellers? GoDaddy auctions have much more auction listings with no reserve and garbage names, yet they are doing fine.

I think what Flippa could implement in the advanced reserve met filter is to have following checkboxes to further refine the searches to meet everyone's needs:
  • With bids
  • Without bids
  • Next bid meet reserve
  • Maximum Price
However, I feel Flippa is moving in the direction of minimalistic design and ease of use; Apple style.

WHY do you say that GD has a 30% discount on renewals? Is there a code?
code automatically applies when you click link. Will work for renewal discount if you haven't used the discount before.

The latest Flippa change broke the filter for Last Sold domains.
https://flippa.com/domains/just-sold?sort_alias=most_recent

I would check that daily and now it rarely updates. Same domains have been there for over a week. I have sold 3 names recently that never even showed up, so I'm sure many more are not being displayed.
