I own 2 LLL.ins ( yxj.in and yul.in ) but hopefully the value will go up because they are bought out and must catch the drops which get snagged back as soon as they drop

I have some good premium LLL.in's, about 15-20 I think. Planning to keep them for a while, I think they have great potential

true. have paid 150 Euro for that one at Sedo.
i like uke too. UK e lots of potencial uses IMO
damn i kinda missed my chance regging all those premium LLL.ins i thought at that time co.in would do as well and it was much cheaper (so now i hold about 200 premium co.ins some with good traffic but its hard to sell my best sales were about 40, 70, 100 $ ) well time will show.
hey michael what are you holding??

Most of the interest in LLL.IN that I receive is from companies OUTSIDE of India planning to move into India - German, Dutch, Swiss........

Let these companies sell millions of gidgits at $1.00 each to the huge population. We can sell them the domain names to reach that population.

Win-Win!

well, if international companies go after LLL.in, then i hope Indian companies go after the corresponding LLL.co.in.
My opinion on LLL.in is that domainers consider it the prized future of .in in general. Many of the ones on sale @ NP are mediocre ones(sorry), and people are not bring out the good ones, and same thing for many LLL.co.ins too. Personally, after i looked at the list of available LLL.co.in, i realized MANY of the good ones are gone. THe demand is increasing for LLL.in and LLL.co.in. LLL.ins need to get more traffic to support their renewal fees before they are sold, and LLL.co.ins are doing a slightly better job there. THe problem for all LLL.in/.co.in holders is "how do you optimize LLLs?". I bet alot of you get traffic on many of your LLLs, but your CTR is low. We need a thread to help us optimize them and figure out what people are looking for. I own 1 LLL.in, and about 15 premium LLL.co.in. I'm going to be sitting till the demand gets more saturated.....

I think we have a great future ahead for LLL.in, though tbh, currently companies are more interested in keyword.in - surprising but then only 5% of the whole population is even online and most of those use it for email or to earn money.

LLL.co.in - I don't see too much of an immediate return on this, but like all tlds eventually these will run out, when is the key here coz decent ROI might take a few years.

The .in/.co.in promo was Oct 2007 - Mar 2008, a few hundred thousand names were registered in this period. So oct '08-mar '09 should see a small dip in prices, not to mention drops, before firming up.

.co.in has its own place in the sun, has been around longer too, more credibility developed as earlier it was mandatory to have documentation (company registration etc) to get the name in .co.in

Problem is that .in is just shorter... and a preposition, plus it has greater acceptability, both among the domaining community and the new developer initiatives.

wot has sold more than a few .co.ins but he's right, do a search, been discussed extensively before.

You're correct that the same keyword for .in will never equal to .com - its simple logic really, .com is a gTLD, .in is not, even though its being used as some.

But I look at this a little differently - a good/great domain name comes out of the advertising budget for most companies. But ad spend itself is around $5 Billion annually, not a small market by any means. Prices will go up for sure long term, for which term and by how much is anyones guess.

Net penetration and bandwidth is still pretty low, can only grow.

Why am I not surprised with this info? ;)

I've been saying all along that a lot of sales are NOT being reported simply because buyers don't want them to be.

While renewing them for 10 yrs might be great, currently registry only supports renewals upto 5 yrs.

We are not renewing for 10 years but rather have secured the financial structure to support 10 years worth of annual renewals. This money can be invested in other assets and grow steadily until it is needed for renewals.

That said, the best names are going to be blessed with multi-year renewals.

The current renewal price is very cheap relative to the rapidly growing value.
