One more domain apprasial scam

I'm very sad about this because for a moment I really felt as I would make a good business, but I'll get over it...

I'm a newbie on selling domains (I think their target are people "like" me), but I have to thank myself for being an internet veteran and to analyse every thing before stepping forward... Something was not right... I work with internet for more than 10 years (as a developer) and my experience in this stuff made me to act like this.

Always trust your instinct

I received an email from a guy named Isaac Roitman --roitman(at)live-host.org-- wanting to buy my domain "whatever".com:

--------------------

Hello!

I'm very interested in purchasing "whatever".com.

I found it listed for sale.

Please respond with a desired price for your domain in the subject line (in USD, Euros or other currency).

If you have other names for sale please email me your list with prices.

Regards,

Isaac Roitman

Then I've answered him the price of that domain and listed my other domains for sale...

His reply:
--------------------

$$$. Ok. I have 15,000 usd budget for 12-15 domain names.

How can I pay you (PayPal, Western Union, escrow.com etc.)? If this is your first time domain sale I may help you with the sale/transfer process.

Are you a member of domain seller communities/forums? Probably, we know each other under some nicknames?

Best regards,

Isaac Roitman

--------------------

I've sent him my paypal email address...
I've told him that I'm here on "Namepros" and sent him my username...
And confirmed that I'm a newbie and this was my first sale... I've also asked him a briefer on how we do this process... asked him how he knew about being my first sale and asked him if my approach was a "newbie approach"... also I've asked if my price was cheap and how did he know about it....

and he sent me a reply not awnsering my questions and asking me to do some stuff:
--------------------

Before we go further I will ask about two things. Just a formality:

1. We need a valuation (appraisal of your domain made by independent experts). It will show me you are a legitimate seller and the price of your domain is reasonale based on the last market trends. Please don't worry, it will take only 1-2 minutes to get this valuation.

2. I prefer appraisal service that also verifies possible trademark infringements. It's important for me to know that your domain has no problems with trademarks. It won't be a problem for you since some good appraisers offer this option (trademark infringement verification) as a free bonus to the appraisal service.

To avoid mistakes and wasting money on useless services I asked in the forum about reliable valuation/TM verification services.

Please read this information:
http://www.seven-forums.biz/Archive/94127038653.htm

The process is very easy:

1. Go to the appraisal site and order the valuation with the TM verification. After several hours you will get the results.

2. Please resend these results via email and we'll proceed with the deal.

If the evaluation comes higher you can change your asking price. After you send me the professional evaluation via email (usually it takes one day to get the results) we'll be doing business.

--------------------

When I went to this "seven-forums.biz" (bad name... *strange) ... I've seen a post maded from him asking people about professional appraisers (*strange too)... (to verify the integrity of this forum, I've tryed to go to the forum's home and it returned me an error) *strange2

My intuition made me think that this all was TOO good to be true, then I've begun to make questions for myself and investigate...

And I've found some posts here with THE SAME emails (like this one)... and even similar names... with same signatures..... the same thing... that made me feel sad because when you do a great business, your emotions makes you feel good and "winner"...

I've been victim of other kinds of scams that made me feel the same and also I didn't became a victim because I'm not dumb, not stupid, heavy internet user and don't give away my money easily (it's bad to think that most people doesn't think like me so gives opportunities to these shitty people) ... It's not nice to play with people's feelings... Unfortunately in this world we have some TRASH people that try to profit playing with people's emotions and goodwill.

GOT THE WRONG GUY!!! Probably I have way more life experience than him. He is a stupid trashy human being...

I'll sleep better than him knowing that I'm honest and do the right thing to make money. Of course This is harder than being a scammer, a cheater, a swindler, a charlatan, a criminal, a defrauder, a devil, an evil person, lowlife, etc... Easy money is for the weaks! and he is a weak with zero creativity...

Sorry my English guys.. I'm from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and this thread might have some grammar errors...

Yeah. It's very strange. I also received a similar e-mail that's why I'm here reading your post. Hehe. :)

If it's too good to be true, then we should think more than twice. :D
