Registration, Renewal and Transfer PRICES - latest info

I think many here seem to spend much of their time ensuring they are not overpaying for .TV names.

We run around finding the greatest registration prices, then a year or two later run around again trying to find the cheapest transfer prices, or hoping we have the best renewal prices.

I’ve just been taking a look at some of the registrars for .TV prices and thought I would like to share the info.

If we can add other registrars, coupons, new prices, etc then we might ALL save a heck of a lot of time messing around trying to find the best deals.

If anyone can add to this list, please do so as you find new information.

We can keep on top of prices if we add coupons/vouchers/codes and changes in prices on a regular basis as we find them.

As we have already seen from some of the comments here, if we keep this thread going we will save a fortune and a LOT of time.

I ve tried all of the mentioned godaddy coupons for transfering .tv's but none worked.
Do you have any updates?
:S

There are a number of 30% off coupons that are generic.. you just have to use Google/Bing.

Use a search and set the date range of you search to be "this week"... that way you'll just get the still available ones.

Seems like you're going to have to be the one to hunt it down and keep this thread alive.

Dynadot free whois privacy

Started 2 days ago.

My opinion is to add the free privacy option to all domains, as we do not know how long offer will last, and maybe want to activate it at some domains in the future

Thanks for the tip! I'm curious if after the year they will auto charge for the privacy and we will have to remember to take it off each name.

Thanks for the headsup Manos. But I'm confused since they've been offering free privacy for a very long time. Perhaps it's because I've had an account there for a few years and it was grandfathered. And to answer RPK's question, I've never had a rollover autocharge, but once again... could be an older account type... or worse... that they've changed their process and will begin charging for the re-up. I'll try to check with them today to see how the process works now, just in case. Either way, free privacy is always a factor for me when choosing registrars. Name.com offers free privacy through use of a coupon code, but I believe they said it would rollover after 1st year and have a fee.

But this beats GoDaddy hands down with their $4-$8 annual privacy fee per domain.

Their offer mode is to have free privacy till domains expires, eg if you have a name till 2014 free privacy longs till 2014, of course do not know after.
My account is superbulk, earlier had about $1 / year for privacy, just changed to 0

Anyone know of coupons / discounts at dydnadot for .tv renewals - as it stands its $34.99? Appreciate any help on this ..
cheers,

You could transfer it to Name.com for 26.99 which will renew it for a year and their renewal is $35 after that but you will probably find a coupon of some sort somewhere in the meantime that will give you a cheap renewal or transfer again.

A little complicated but will save you a few bucks now and Name is still a pretty good registrar.

(Just too bad they don't renew for their .tv reg price of $10.99 :kickass:)
