Yeah, they were both premium regs... $500/yr. Ouch. But I figured there really aren't too many one-character domain names available and I really wanted a couple. The .nu extension just opened up single character numeric registrations this summer I think and these were the last two available, so i snatched them up.

Since the .nu extension is actually being used somewhat, I figured I'd go off for $5k or so and hold these names for about five years and see where the numeric domains and .nu domains go.

I was also thinking that maybe by developing the sites into something, and trademarking them, it might give me an opportunity sometime in the future to snag 7.com or 9.com if ICANN ever allows single character and single number domain names to be registered in the future... which I really see happening. It's kind of my domainer dream to one day own a single character non-IDN .com.
