Guys,
as far as i'm aware we don't have an official N-N-N.com thread
Obviously the lists are all over the forum & mentioned in many threads, in particular the L-L-L.com thread

Thought would start this thread as in some ways is the most exciting as we can watch them run out.
It will be like watching the LLL.mobi's go all over again.

Difference is, rather than 17k possibilities, there are only 1000 posibilities.

I don't pretend to be an expert on Number Domains
I welcome domainers who are, i know of a few who have added fantastic inputs re: N-N-N.coms

In my opinion these will run out first, obviously because of th rarity, but also beacuse Asian domainers in particular just love to trade these babies. Number domains in general.
Of course number domains are huge over there
I've noticed imo, there could be a hot demand for radio numbers (stn's), as it stands, they have some hideous domains lol. They need! some of our domains. lol

You only need 10 X N-N-N.COM'S TO OWN YOUR VERY OWN 1% OF THE ENTIRE POSSIBLE AMOUNT! D-:

Here's the list as of few hours ago, some will have gone though.

Most thanks to BuyandSwap, it's down to his quality mining & scans that we can perouse the lists.

Here's the link to his site
http://www.bluebecker.com/storage/N-N-N.txt

I'm gonna list them here for easy viewing.
No doubt Chris will re-run in a day or so when he gets a chance.

When there are only 1000 available 000-999 the smart folk are not fussed about the number 4, very limited opportunities with this class of numerics

Few years ago I sold NNN.com (without 4) for $10k, who knew that time their prices will rise so much..

Here in Australia a few domainers from an Aussie forum get together every now and then, one fellow who got into domains very early told me how he sold 288 for well below $50, 000 some years ago, timing plays a big part. Knowing that domains even exist also helps

I agree about timing, but also to have more funds is important, when you purchase domains up to $100k montly you need to resell them as soon as possible to make your profit and make new purchases again as sitting on them and waiting Chinese boom is not always smart and hard to predict, such situation was before 2008 when crisis come and domaining "died" for some time.

I like the numerics due to the exclusivity factor, only so many in each category, yes domains have had their ups and downs over the years, this does seem like a golden era ..... foe how long? Ummmm

If number 7 is considered lucky number in India, and 4 neither lucky nor unlucky (unlucky numbers are apparently 8 and 13), then the list of available ones still has some Indian premium ones.

PS
info on lucky and unlucky numbers is derived from interner, thus feedback of an NPer with Indian background on this information will be appreciated.

You are comparing apples and oranges .......different flavors

it depends, if enduser wants specific 3 numbers, i.e. "0", "4", "2" (hypothetical example - someone wants to open a bar at the 42nd street in NY and want to have in the name only 042), then the comparison is valid.

If of course you look at the number of characters in the domain before the dot (i.e. 5 characters), then N-N-N.com may probably be compared with NNNNN.com. In such case we have following comparison, i.e. for 0-4-2.com:

Domain Price Date Venue
NNNNN:

04229.com 264 USD 2015-10-14 DropCatch
04204.com 315 USD 2015-09-30 GoDaddy
39042.com 226 USD 2015-09-07 GoDaddy
19042.com 213 USD 2015-09-04 GoDaddy
04202.com 150 USD 2015-09-01 GoDaddy
04244.com 109 USD 2015-02-16 NameJet
17042.com 166 USD 2014-04-15 GoDaddy
Others:
042.com 14,800 USD 2012-07-18 DomainHoldings
3042.com 760 USD 2011-02-25 NameJet

If I had a choice I would use something like bar42 or br42nd or even ny42br .. etc
~
The users you are talking about will never pay big money for these names, they will just find something else. The Chinese investors have not gone near them in a big way. They are awkward to pronounce when using a hyphen.

Again pronounce, I though we touched this topic with radio test.

Visual advertising.
Google doesn't pronounce them, they just shoot it straight to your eyes!

After you see it once you remember it with ease.

Go back to my previous post, good luck

You can't compare anything with a dash to sales of names without a dash. They're completely non-relational.

You can't even compare 5N to n-n-n because the double dash is still a detractor, regardless.

I had bought 5 good ones on the "just in case" scenario.... But they are their own thing and trying to rationalize pricing to other name niches is a pointless exercise.

I checked what is the current status. We are below 100 already - only 99 domains left as of now. It means that even N-N-N.com domains containing "4" are being snapped.

Very slowly though. Only 4 got registered in 2 weeks.
If there were any interest in these N-N-N, they would all be gone.
I acquired a few, but I doubt I'll renew next year.

Interesting that they are still being registered, even though there were no discussion posts about them for the last 1,5 weeks. And even though all what are left, are containing "4"

Furthermore, when it goes further down, I would not be surprised the remaining ones will be taken at once (as last 5,000 western premium LLLL.net were taken in just one day, whereas previously they were regged at 50-100 per day speed).

Probably it makes sence for you to sell them now rather than not renewing next year :)

I would not get anything.
Mine are the worst. They have a 4 in them or start with 0 so the buyer might aswell go register the ones left for $8.
I just gambled on them for 1 year.

You never know, I think almost no one was expecting such huge up trend in short domains. 5N.com, with "4" and "0", are selling for mid-high $xxx:

Namebio, data for the last week:

64283.com 501 USD 2015-10-19 NameJet

Similar names were available for free reg 7 years ago, I regged several of them back then, but I dropped every 5N i had in 2009. Although if I would have kept them, spending like 60-70 USD on renewals per domain (as I did with my LLLL.com domains), I could have had a nice collection of 5N nowadays.
