Guys,
as far as i'm aware we don't have an official N-N-N.com thread
Obviously the lists are all over the forum & mentioned in many threads, in particular the L-L-L.com thread

Thought would start this thread as in some ways is the most exciting as we can watch them run out.
It will be like watching the LLL.mobi's go all over again.

Difference is, rather than 17k possibilities, there are only 1000 posibilities.

I don't pretend to be an expert on Number Domains
I welcome domainers who are, i know of a few who have added fantastic inputs re: N-N-N.coms

In my opinion these will run out first, obviously because of th rarity, but also beacuse Asian domainers in particular just love to trade these babies. Number domains in general.
Of course number domains are huge over there
I've noticed imo, there could be a hot demand for radio numbers (stn's), as it stands, they have some hideous domains lol. They need! some of our domains. lol

You only need 10 X N-N-N.COM'S TO OWN YOUR VERY OWN 1% OF THE ENTIRE POSSIBLE AMOUNT! D-:

Here's the list as of few hours ago, some will have gone though.

Most thanks to BuyandSwap, it's down to his quality mining & scans that we can perouse the lists.

Here's the link to his site
http://www.bluebecker.com/storage/N-N-N.txt

I'm gonna list them here for easy viewing.
No doubt Chris will re-run in a day or so when he gets a chance.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
This is the most undervalued domain niche out there!

There's only 1000 of them.
I can't believe that people are spending $100,000+ on the NNN.com and not grabbing these. If I owned the NNN.com I would grab these just to go as a package deal with the NNN.com

So let's put a value for arguments sake on a these @$100 each. That would make the whole portfolio valued at only $100,000.
Seems like a steal and undervalued asset when 6N.info are being bought up now.
I would take these over any 5N any day of the week.

5N has 100,000 combos. A floor of $30 would value that portfolio at $3,000,000
That's a low floor for 5N and still comes out 30x's higher than what I put on the N-N-N portfolio with a higher floor. If you follow me.

People are spending $1000's on 5N and 6N domains. I'm telling you guys now to grab what you can.
To me these look better than a 5N and 6N domain. I don't care about the hyphen. Having it between the numbers evens it out and everybody just reads it as the NNN. 8-8-8 reads like 888 to me. I look past the hyphen into the number itself. It's not that easy for me to remember 5 random numbers vs just 3.

There only needs to be one large sale in this niche to increase value and demand overnight. Once that happens it will be like NNNN and LLL prices going up to something beyond our budgets.

More to come from me on niche.

Can someone comes up with a current floor portfolio value for the NNN.com , NNNN.com and NNNNN.com? I'm busy right now and don't know the floor for each of these. Going to eat now and will post it when I get back if no one else does before me. Or get me the floor for each and I'll do the math.
Thanks!

Looking at NNN and NNNN that have sales to compare. I know they are not N-N-N but try to stay with me.

Looking at the last 20 NNN.com sales on namebio

I came up with an average price of $395,000 for a NNN.com That would make the entire portfolio of NNN.com worth $395million!

NNNN.com last 20 avg came to $30,225 making the entire portfolio worth $302million

NNNNN.com last 20 avg came to $1970.15 each making the portfolio worth $197,015,000

It looks like there is a correlation between each portfolio. Going from NNN to NNNN the portfolio value drops roughly $100million, going 4N.com to 5N.com drops another $100million.

Maybe we could say 6N.com portfolio goes down to a value of roughly $100million. I didn't do the math for 6N.com (Burning my brain)

Hope everyone is still following me.

Recap of rough portfolio valuations:

NNN.com $400million
NNNN.com $300million
NNNNN.com $200million
NNNNNN.com $100million

Seeing a pattern here!

That's talking NNN and NNNN's without the hyphen.
N-N-N is harder to evaluate due to not enough sales.

Just for arguments sake let's just divide the portfolio value of NNN by a factor of 1000x to try to come up with an avg price for N-N-N.
That would value N-N-N at $400 each!! Now we don't really have much sales to go on here so I'm just trying to get somewhere with all this before my brain blows up.

Namebio only had 2 N-N-N sales listed. One in 2011 and one in 2008.

N-N-N avg was $625 for those two sales!!!
Those sales were before numerics have taken off.
There were drops in N-N-N and then they got bought out as the interest in numerics have taker off.
They are no longer be available for reg fee so we have to put a price on them.

I would put an avg price value on them at between $625 and $300.
Anything lower than that, I would say is under valued.

This is the most undervalued domain asset niche to own in my opinion!
I know they were bought out again recently but things have also taken off recently with number domains.

If you have anything to add to any of the babble I just posted please do. It will help us all. Good or bad.

I'll try to add to this if I can too!

Currently 103 N-N-N.com left for free reg.

Still available for hand reg (i.e.for ca. $9) at you preferred registrar, for example following N-N-N:
0-4-2.com (remark*: 042.com was sold for $ 14,800 in 2012)
2-4-9.com (remark*: 249.com was sold for $ 92,000 in 2008)
3-6-4.com (remark*: 364.net was sold for $ 2,500 in 2015)
3-9-4.com (remark*: 394.com was sold for $ 12,000 in 2010)
4-0-8.com (remark*: 408.com was sold for $ 33,000 in 2008)
*according to namebio.com

You are comparing apples and oranges .......different flavors

0-0-2.com
I like it! It is the 2nd domain in this niche. Hang onto it if you can.

This is getting away from N-N-N.com for a second, but I'm trying to establish some kinda pricing for numeric domains and trying to get an avg price on the N-N-N market. Having low or no sales data at this time for N-N-N.

6N data added.
I just checked the last 20 6N.com on namebio and came to an avg. price and came to an avg of $223.35 each.

Now this is the last 20 sales only and I took out the one crazy priced one($1710) to make the avg more realistic.

The higher in number count I go, the sales will be the best numbers from that niche selling faster than the others of course. The better domains will sell first. It will take larger volumes of sales to get to some real data.

I think the price of 6N will approach the $200million mark for the portfolio if things continue. This seems like it will help other niche numeric domains also since we've established a correlation between portfolios!

There was a 5N that was just sold for $10,100 listed at Namebio! I don't think I put thiat in the 5N data I posted in my last post. With a sale like that I think it will help the 5N portfolio also.

Getting back to N-N-N.com's

I look at N-N-N.com to price like a 5N.com eventually if not sooner. Future sales data might support this. That is why I gave them an "Under valued" price at this time.

They are both 5 characters.
There are less N-N-N domains (1000) vs (1,000,000)=Rarity
Rarity+hyphen brings N-N-N somewhere into the 5N pricing for me to sell one, IF I sell one.
The N-N-N reads like a NNN, but having the hyphen puts it into the 5 character domains.

This is all just my opinion without more sales data/any sales data, to support it.
Just for disclosure, I do own about 10 N-N-N.coms
I consider these long-term investments at this time. I also consider these currently under valued at this time.

I would put an avg price value on them at between $625 and $300.
Anything lower than that, I would say is under valued.

I wouldn't sell any N-N-N that I own at the avg prices I came up with in my last post! Just tried to guess an avg value at this time. Not easy to do.

Actually, I would consider these to get into the 4N.com pricing within the next 5-10yrs
I am VERY bullish on all my short numeric .com's. Not sure what 4N or 5N will be in 5-10yrs, but trends look like they will all increase in value during that time. I look to owners of the 3N.coms to start picking these up when they can. If I paid as much as they are paying for the 3N, I would grab this under valued niche!

N-N-N.com are short, rare, under-valued, and have no UDRP issues that could arise that I know of unlike a L-L-L.com or LLLL.

Let me know what you guys/girls think. Please talk about any data I've listed or my opinion. It's only my opinion.

Thanks

He's comparing ROI, not revenue.

If you have invested same amount of money in NNN.com and N-N-N.com at today's prices good chance that N-N-N.com investment would appreciate more. Because NNN.com already selling for millions and will have to sell for 10's of millions to beat N-N-N.com rise from $50 to $1000.

They are not selling because they are locked up in portfolios. I think other owners see potential value in them or they would be on the market for reg fee or they would be dropping at some point. We are not seeing them drop like 5N and 6N.com even though there is a ton of value in 5N and 6N.com.

They are also over looked by most investors due to no current sales data. When there are sales, things can change fast. They will eventually get bought up and put into these large portfolios of domains that are starting to change hands. That seems to be a trend that is going on with LLLL and NNNN domains. I see that trend extending into all niche markets at some point.

I would love to see the whois data on N-N-N.com. Is china a big player in this niche? Will they ever become a large player in this niche? They love numbers, so I see that happening.

They are not at $1000 yet. I do see them hitting that mark and higher eventually. There is something different about numerics that letters don't allow for. If you have JOB.com, that limits endusers to that keyword market. The NNN is a pure investment play that doesn't follow the keyword.com enduser markets. Any business can be made up using a number domain. They can be branded into a business and used for anything. Letters and specially keywords have limits due purely to their meaning like JOB.com. It is only a 3 letter, but they limit that domain to the JOB market.

Number domains can/are/will be used like a currency between large corps and businesses. Number domains are being bought/sold/traded like a form or digital currency right now. This will happen on a larger and larger scale as time goes on. That is what I see happening when I step back and look at number domains into the future.

Our children won't be able to hand reg a 10N.com i the near future nor will they be able to afford a NNN.com!
There has to be a market somewhere in there for N-N-N.com domains. What part N-N-N plays in that market is the unknown. We can only go on our gut feelings at this point. I'm not a flipper, I'm a long-term investor so I look at things differently than most people on the forum.

While I applaud your optimism... 10N is 9.9 billion domains and, frankly, I would be really surprised if my children (ages 6 and 7) wouldn't be able to register any 10N.

Look like everyone was busy regging the last remaining LLLL.net and forgot about N-N-N.com

67 of them are still available.

Plan to take one more today during $0.99 promo at Name.com, which starts in 30 minutes (it will last only 1 hour, 1 domain per person, max 1000 domains - according to email received from Name.com today)

0-0-2.com

I wouldn't sell any N-N-N that I own at the avg prices I came up with in my last post! Just tried to guess an avg value at this time. Not easy to do.

Actually, I would consider these to get into the 4N.com pricing within the next 5-10yrs

6N sales on Namebio is very inaccurate because NameBio minimum for reporting is $100. And the majority of 6N are selling < $100. So to say "I just checked the last 20 6N.com on namebio and came to an avg. price and came to an avg of $223.35 each." ... That's in a NameBio bubble and not nearly an accurate average compared to something like 5N where there are certainly NO sales < $100.

It does not make sense for NNN.com owner, but for someone looking for memorable numeric, N-N-N is more memorable than NNNNN. Compare 5-3-2.com and 51372.com. The former is also looking much more compact.

If you own NNN you are most likely not too fussed about the N-N-N ...... If you own NNN you are doing just fine without the hyphenated version, they just don't need em

It's interesting to read first pages of this thread, recommended. It turns out that all N-N-N.com were registered already in 2007 and had good demand and sold in $50-100 range as floor price.
