I think this thread getting a bit side tracked. Maybe we should get back to keeping it what it is... a showcase. Its good every now and again to give some advise and opinion if asked for but no need to argue or be rude to eachother.

I've said before, like with any new (or even old) extensions, people will have differing views. Its all speculation unless you got hold of something like buy.asia - or any other mega super duper premium. How this extension will do, we don't know yet. There are too many variables which can affect the success of .asia - we'll just have to wait and see.

Try not to register absolutelyanything-without-thinking.asia ... james gave advise to research the domain you want... check if other extensions are taken plus number of searches per day... and also think about the relevancy of the keyword/s in relation to .asia - ie. the market, the audience etc.

When I stated ... from the VERY beginning! ... that IF the "dot Mobey" ever made it, even, at best, as a teeny small niche or "for play"/vanity type extension, it would take upwards of 12 - 15 years, IMHO. .MOBI Rosies© went berserk with that time-frame and literally confused their extension du jour with the actual (.COM) Mobile Web™, and thought I was nuts! :p

And, clearly, mTLD and the "dot Mobey" are experiencing extreme difficulties a this time! :o :imho:
.ASIA will suffer the same fate, IMHO.

But there are a few interest and like to buy some of my .asia domains but I will have to wait and see the auction results.

I agree that there are a lot of dodgy domains registered but I could not agree with your nearly 100 % quote. Just look at latest .asia auction results from sunrise period.
