Domain Inventory Management: I use a simple Excel Sheet to manage my domains. You can keep separate one for each registrar or manage them all in one file.
CSV File to manage your inventory

You can post your tips as well.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
For newbies, make sure you read the forums and learn, learn learn before you register domains. Don't waste money on worthless domains.

Another tip: There are almost ALWAYS coupons for domain names, both new registrations and renewals.

Below is an excel sheet I use to manage my domains. You can add a separate column for renewal costs or just add the cost into the existing purchase price each year. Today's Date column is used to calculate the age of the domain so don't remove it.

Columns:
Domain Name
Registrar
Registration Date
Expiration Date
Domain Type
Purchase Price
Auction Lock
Listed for sale at
Parked at
Age
Todays Date
Sold For
Profit

Total Expense, Sales, & Profit is calculated on row 92.

OR Simple CSV File

BEST RESOURCES, BOOKMARKED !

I would like to ask one thing, what if the LLLL is an all LLLL non-premium domain ( XQZY.com ), and available for <$15? Should one buy it ?

Thanks for putting effort in this :)

You will have hard time selling it. If it gets decent traffic then it'll be worth it

I wish I had read this good advice 3 months ago, I have 4 sites that are useless as the companies, or amazon, will not allow them as an affiliate.

Is it best to just cancel the sites, or offer them back to the Company for free (in case they send a freebie back)?

eg - one site is a .mobi

Thanks in adavance

I'd just delete them if they are trademark domains. It's a hassle offering them to the trademark owners for free.
