so u do not get in trouble selling 1 week old domain as 10 year old

domain age = #years the domain was renewed without being dropped or deleted.

so if a domain is regged july2016 it is 0 years old

if regged 2014 and renwed each year since ,it is now 2 years old

just use any whois checker and #years is counted from the creation date listed there:

thanks a lot i didn't knew that. i check whois after i buyd it and saw the creation date but i thought it was wrong because the whois history and ip showed years old history basically i thought that people own it years ago and it got expired or deleted i didn't know that the age off the domain was when i created.. so if i want a aged domain i have to buy one and old it for years so it gets value in age??
