Paypal email product (file) script needed

Hi - I have previously posted asking about this but I can't find my original post about it.


I would like to be able to email a zipped file to a buyer AFTER it has been purchased using paypal.

What is the best/easiest way do do this - detailed instructions would be really appreciated as its a totally new area to me.

Someone in my previous post mentioned using php ? Is this the best way to go ?

Yup this can be done using PayPal IPN. You will need a developer account at PayPal to get really into it https://developer.paypal.com/

Then lookup on hotscripts, google etc for PayPal IPN Script. The one i use can be found at: http://www.micahcarrick.com/v2/content/view/1/26/

I would post a long tutorial on getting it to work but the best way for you is to look around on the paypal developer site read some documentation, i know its boring but its best to do it. Then play around with the ipn script, i think its set to sandbox mode by default so it doesn't run on Paypal Live, but instead Paypal Sandbox.

For mine, you just need to install it and edit config.php. It has the form and other things set up.
