NP Exchange Question

When somebody accepts your bid to sell NP, how long should you wait for them to pay? I always thought that if you are accepting a bid, you should pay immediately. :|

I would agree, if someone is accepting a bid on the exchange they should be ready to pay immediately -- but within 24 hours at the most.

I've seen it go as long as 48 hours ... which is not totally unacceptable. Fortunately, though, the "average" is far less than that time-wise ... and I would agree that within 24 hours should be the unwritten rule, IMHO. And preferably, immediately! :talk:
B-)

PS. Did you have a less than stellar experience, .EDU? If so, please PM me if I can be of any assistance on the matter.
No worries.

Hey .edu,

This process is still something of a mystery to me. I have been waiting for a bank PM with payment information but can't find anything anywhere.

Send me the relevant details and I'll take care of this first thing in the morning.

Regards,

Tom

PP sent and confirmed.

For the record, I could not send payment any earlier because I had no payment contact information and the Exchange details had been removed from the NP Bank.

Hopefully all is sorted out now. I look forward to the other side of this exchange. Thanks, Cri$$y.

It could depend. What if the seller is in a different time zone, then obviously there will be delays. The best way to minimize delays in my opinion is to buy when the seller is Online.

That way transactions are quick.

NameBucks received. Thanks.

On topic here, I would suggest that if you have not heard from the buyer (or seller) in a couple of hours, send a friendly PM with a summary of the exchange and payment information. The automated software exchange does not always work as smoothly as expected and may need a little helping hand from a human!

Sending a summary of purchase details also can help jog the human memory and save the buyer from trying to track down information which may be no longer easily accessible. For new members especially, this could save a whole lot of misunderstanding.
