Looking for some opinions on Link Exchange Software for my website. I have ran across so many different scripts lately that I have found myself scratching my head trying to figure out which is better. Would any of you happen to know if buying the software is worthwhile or not? For instance, I found one at http://www.linkautomate.com which seems ok. According to them the program runs almost entirely by iteself. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't recommend using ANY software for your link exchange requests.

I get 10-20 of those type requests per day and I always mark them as spam and send them to the trash bin.

A real link request is a personal letter that is genuine (I can spot the form letters and attempted personal letters a mile away).

If you want someone to link to you, just call them on the phone, or take the time to send them an *actual* personal email about it.

Link "exchanges" aren't really worth as much anymore. It's actually better if someone links to you *without* a link back.

I use linksmanager (AFL) Let's me link with relavent sites through their sister co. "linkpartners". You get a month free to try it which is really smart on there part because once you start using it, you can't do with out it. It is a bit pricey. $20/month. per site. I have 3 sites going with it. You can customize the look of your links page. Here's mine for sitehike. http://www.sitehike.com/greatsites.htm

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll look into that linksmanager program sharpy. $20/month doesn;t sound all that bad if the program suits my needs.

Sharpy, the link for sitehike.com is not working for me. Also tried http://www.sitehike.com. ??? Just a heads up. Could be just my browser I suppose.

Errr....just tried it again Sharpy and seems ok now. Must have been my browser.
