Namecheap is a great alternative to GD, I think. They do not take fascist actions like GD.

This is wrong....Web Hosters should be in charge of what gets on a webpage not registars

i just got my domain name suspended and they said i abused their servers with spam and i asked them to show me the proof at least of the ip and they showed me lots and lots of proof with different ip addresses funny thing is none of those ip addresses is mine.

and they suspended my account for that domain and can no where point it to another dns or in no way that i can control them, i just paid them 199bucks just for them to enable my account again and just to end the argument. :(

SO ENABLE IT NOW, BECAUSE OF YOUR ERROR YOU TOOK NABAZA.COM DOWN, JUST IN SECONDS AND WHEN YOU WILL ENABLE IT IT WILL TAKE YOU 3 DAYS??!! THAT'S RIDICULOUS, WHAT KIND OF SUPPORT YOU HAVE AND SERVICES THAT i PAID ALREADY.

Why did you pay them 119$, they got the money for nothing! You should have changed your registrar!

lol go daddy is a winner!

try namebargain.com, it's a part of register.com. names are 8.88 a year. They don't have the quickiest tech support... but if you know how to register names and all that stuff I don't see why you need tech support too much.

But yea, it looks like go daddy thinks their in charge of domain names or something. I wouldn't trust my domains with them if their just going to shut them down without notice. They should have emailed them and said "we don't want your f*^&%$#g business, you have 7 days to move your domain to someone else who cares."

Power does corupt . . .

I noticed this nature of godaddy years ago when they screwed around with my credit card and checks.

This Bob Parsons guy has an ego the size of the internet and I'm not surprised this is happening.

Thanks guys for those threads about GoDaddy. I'm just returned from vacancies and saw this.
Some of my domains are there and i'll be moving them out.

Well, i think GoDaddy is doing the right thing, as most torrent sites are illegal!

illegal or not, it is not their place to pass judgement and take action.
many things are illegal in life, that is why there is law enforcement and the legal systems in civilizied nations were anyone doesnt take it upon themselves to pass the law (as they see fit).

Ummm, that is false.
Torrent sites are not illegal.
Crap if registrars followed your logic than since "most" torrent sites are "illegal" even the legal ones would be taken down. (again they are not illegal to begin with)
Who made Godaddy the judge and jury? They suspended a domain not due to a court order but based on their own judgement which is obviously askew. I mean have you seen one of their TV ads!!!

option # 4 -- file an ICANN complaint
option #5 -- file a suit

option # 6 Keep mentioning to everyone how much GD sucks and hit them where it really hurts!

it's U.S.$199

i can't change it, my domain is not even available on domains list on godaddy.com on my control panel, how can i change the primary/secondary dns?

they've proven this to me already for the price of U.S.$199 :(

option # 4 -- file an ICANN complaint
option #5 -- file a suit

did option 4 already they never even bothered replying to me, seems to me when i was in that predicament every registrar is clutched at the neck of GD.

option #5 well sort of because i filed complaints on bbb.org oh my they are very useless i tell you they usually reply 30 days and while im watching my pr and alexa ranking it slows down down the drain until i was ranked pr5 :( and alexa got about 159,000+ :'( so i decided to pay them before it's all too late for my domain.
