The NRA-PVF here in Pa said that Kerry wanted to turn the US into a UN state like the UK and other countries that do not allow their populations to own guns.

The article you provide to back this up makes no mention of the United Nations, or the United Kingdom as far as I can see.

So not only is it you that thinks the UK is a UN state, but your illustrious NRA as well.

I wonder what the British Army fighting side by side in Iraq with the American Army would think if they thought that the country they love and are fighting to protect against terrorism is so derided by its partner.

Personally I don't like bush all too much but I know if we elect Kerry there is gonna be a terrorist attack 2 days after he is sworn in... Kerry won't defend the county, and he doesn't strike fear in to the hearts of terroists. Bush on the other hand, is going after them and hunting them down. What people don't understand is that Yes 1000 Troops have been killed but were they expecting 10 guys to die and the terroists to just give up?

Actually, the terriorists are hunting the Americans down. All of those 'rebels' were not in Iraq at the start of the war. In fact, thanks to Bush, their are probably more terrorists out to get America then before Sept. 11th.

I live in England, and also dont fear for my life because of guns. Sure, I live in a rural area, but I used to live inner city and know people who still do, and I've never met anybody fearful of gun crime. Its VERY rare, when somebody is shot, its national news.

With the numbers shot in the US in some states each day - surely it must only be regional news? Would be interested if somebody from the US could answer that, because I am not sure.
