James Maxey

I'm an American living in Vietnam since 2016 and married to a Vietnamese woman. I enjoy teaching English.

I'm also interested in photography, astronomy, cosmology, electronics, computer programming, news, talking to people, especially those who have no one to visit them.

I enjoy romantic music, bicycling, riding into the mountains, walking in meadows along rivers and streams, traveling with the person I love, walking on the beach. I also enjoy watching movies with the person that I admire and love. I try to treat people with respect and decency until they attempt to use me.

I like talking to people who take time to be honest and communicate and not play games or attempt to insult my intelligence. Life is too short to deal with dishonest people and people who don't appreciate what I try to do for them, but ask me to do more.

Our beautiful, fragile earth is suffering because of our apathy and careless treatment of our environment. I have met so many people who either do not know about global warming (climate change), or don't believe much of it is caused by humans. I try to stay away from people like that.

I enjoy a good movie, well directed and written, not many of those ridiculous B action movies.

I am so aware of most of my shortcomings. But often I try to be the best I can be. But often fail on that too.
