The LLL.com sales report & discussion thread

We need this one too guys :)

This guide will also help LLLL.com holders to understand more the value of their 4 letters .com based on how expensive the similar 3 letters .com are.

From:

http://3character.com/priceguide.html

Pricing Guide for 3-Letter (Composed Of Letters Only) Domains:

Current Observed Minimum Wholesale Price (regardless of letter combo) as of February 1, 2008:

3-Letter .com - $6700 (+ $300 since January 1, 2008 report)

But I consider their guide a bit old since they are not taking in consideration the emergenging countries that appreciate other letters and as we have run a poll here several times lately, the majority of people consider the letters U
and W to be Premium letters.

Let`s have a look at some recent LLL.com sales as reported from NameBio.com :

at the low end, LLL.com/LLLL.com both seem to be recovering.

I would be expecting much in the current climate. Once a bit of stock comes on the market they'll get hit again in my view.

Yeah, agree Snoop. Still way too high imho.

3Character.com has saddened me lately... I used to find it relatively accurate but lately it seems to only serve one purpose and that is to artificially attempt to inflate prices in the LLL.com market.

Note: 3character.com is not my site.

I would say that $5500 is a fairly reasonable low valuation. The distance between $5000 to $5500 is something like 10% (which is probably well within the error tolerance for such an estimate). So, I think the site gives a reasonable reflection of the LLL.com minimum wholesale (which I think is too often simply thought of by domainers as the absolute lowest single sale price observed over the last month). There still appears to be a $5000 floor, but prices appeared to me to trend upward a tiny amount over the past month. A $100 rise represents less than a 2% increase from the previous month. While I perceived a tiny rise, such a minor increase compared to the available data might also be construed as stagnation.

The distance between $5000 to $5500 is half a dozen really good bottles of scotch.
