Hi
I and another co-founder have built two software tools to facilitate the process of finding potential domain end users. The tools are available at
FindDomainBuyers.com
1. End User Company Search:
This tool is primarily a search engine for companies. The search can be narrowed to a particular set of industries (optional). The results email will contain the websites of companies that are relevant to the search term, and (when available) their emails (up to 5 emails) and twitter accounts. The companies in this tool are found from publicly available sources as well as individual company websites and social media profiles.
See this example output for the results of a search for the key term wind turbines with the search limited to industries “oil and energy” and “renewables and environment”.
2. Filter Domains and Extract Contacts:
This tool automates the process of filtering a list of domains for potential end users and extracting emails (up to 5) and twitter accounts of those potential end users - for example domain lists obtained from ZFBot can be used as inputs.
(i) The results email will contain two .csv files. The first is a list of potential end users with contact details extracted, the second is a list of other domains that are unlikely to be potential end users (parked domains..etc). A confidence score on the classification accuracy as potential end user or non-end user is also given on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest level of confidence.
(ii) The related domains column contains other domains that is likely owned by the potential end user. This will be useful for locating end users who own other similar domain names, and hence might have a higher likelihood of being interested in similar domains.
(ii) Additionally, if the relevant phrases section was filled out, the potential end user results list will also give a relevance score based on a weighted average of the frequency of the occurrence of the relevant phrases on the website associated with the domain.
Examples: See the two results lists EndUserDomains.csv and OtherDomains.csv for the input list ZFBotList.csv.
NOTES:
1. We’re extracting the contact details from the websites of the companies and other sources (not from whois data).
2. The classification of end user and non-end user is accurate for the vast majority of the domains I checked, however it does at times make mistakes.
Each new account starts off with 5 free credits.
We’re continuously updating the tools. Let me know if you have any questions, notice any bugs, or have feedback on potential improvements. Thanks!
