3.) Make lots of money
All they need to do is figure out step 2 and they are set.

Are we talking about affiliate programs that share a percentage of sales made?
Because there are more possibilities to make money from the better domains. To name 2:
1. Affiliate programs like sony has them, sharing a percentage of each sale, by putting up links promoting them (example: banners/links/promotions for sony's 3d home theaters on a domain called
3d Home Theaters - Best choice in 3d home theater equipment). High end (longtail) keywords with the right seo turns into a percentage of product sales with high ticket prices.
2. Write the big brand companies a nice email they can takeover/lease the domain for their promotions. Or keep the domain, and start blogging reviews for them, in return for products and/or money from selling banners and adspace.

Bad. Im sorry froy but pornsurfers wont be typing in those searchterms. And even then, porn sales are pretty much dead due to free porn on the internet. Unless someone really gets excited, but even then there would be better domains in the porn niche. That combination wont cut it, i know from experience
Another thing, that sex3dtv.com is "going" for 75k on godaddy doesnt mean its being sold for that amount. Again i know this from the inside of the porn niches, hardly any domains like this sell for a lot of money atm. Unless its really a ridiculously good domain that gets a peepload of typeins and se traffic (example: freeporn.com)
I'm saving up to setup my tLD .3d and kick all y'all's a$$e$. It's going to monitor the sites to make sure they aren't parked and fulfil the standard web3dhtml protocol.
tld's never made a big impact, because people are used to typein the common tlds. Check out a lot of the bigger mobile sites. They are .com most of the time, and not .mobi. Only thing that would change/shift things is when google starts valuating .mobi or other .whatevers for having related content. (example: rank a mobile site higher when its on a .mobi domain then when its on a .com domain).
I personally think..in most cases, the "3D" fits better at the front of the keyword, 3DTravel, rather than Travel3D, if you check, you willl see some people say they prefer the 3D after the keyword, only because the 3DKeyword.com was registered years before.
I also disagree with, I can remember who said it, it may have been froy, apologies if it wasnt mate, but thye said Sports3D is better than Sport3D, I think the singular looks/sounds much nicer, happy for anyone to agree/disagree. The "s" followed by the "th" doesnt roll of the tongue IMO
I sometimes begin to wonder if domainers have any experience on seo. No offense and no personal attack on you there btw.
The most important factor IN a domain is how it is searched related to the domain name (leaving away the other important factors like linkbuilding etc because this is a domainers forum). Example: When a surfer wants to buy a 3d home theater, what will he be typing in google? Home theater 3d, or 3d home theater(s)? If you are targetting a large part of the world it means you will be better off with a domain starting with 3d because that is how the biggest part of the world will be searching it.
Sports3d or sport3d is a delicate theory. But in my experiences it doesnt matter to much and in some cases the sportS will have the advantage because it will have a change to rank for sport and sports when searched (sport is in sport and sports - sportS isnt in sport). So with some good seo you should be able to pull out a slight advantage allthough it also depends on how people search for it again.
Although im pretty sure and positive about what good keyworded 3d domains can sell for in the near future, and how much traffic (read: revenue) a good keyworded 3d domain can get, im also a bit amazed about the crazy names some keep registering.
No offense, but you have to take in account what people will be "searching". I have seen a LOT of domains passing by in this thread that absolutely make no sense, at all.
If you want to gamble, and hope for some company sometime trying to catch their brandname or nichename with 3d in it to develop, sure do. But if you want to base your "claim" just on sticking a "3d" tag with every dictionairy word that exists i dont think you are getting it right.
3dcatcollars.com isnt going to be searched much just to give you an example, and unless some big ass company is going to want JUST that domain its a long shot.
Make sure your domain makes sense, its 3d, make it all 3d related.
It would even be better to go for the longtail keyworded domains then for 3d domains with products/tags in them that are not related at all.
Buy3dprojectors.com or 3dbeamershop.com, will look like its way to long, but with the right seo on it, THATS what people will be typing in their searchengines. Put an affiliate program on it, or sell it later on but i think you will have a way higher change of a good ROI then 3dcookingstove.com.

There are a lot more highend brands/companies having affiliate programs like this. All you have to do is pick the best ones related to your domain. You wont get a daily sale, but estimating a price on a 3d home theater set being around $3000, even 3-4% affiliate fee and 1 sale a week would be more then nice or?
