News Flash: DomainNameWire.com Sold For $1.2 million

Wednesday April 1, 2009, 7:10 pm EDT

NEW YORK--(BUSSINESS WIRE)-
DomainNameWire.com Sold For $1.2 million.

Earlier today Andrew Alleman announced on his popular domaining blog,
DomainNameWire.com, the sale of his blog to an unspecified
domainer for $1.2 million.

Industry insiders think the buyer is Rick Latona of RickLatona.com
????: NamePros.com http://www.namepros.com/the-break-room/571873-news-flash-domainnamewire-com-sold-1-a.html

For the record, Mr.Latona when asked about the sale said
"I have no comment but please sign up for my newsletter at RickLatona.com".

In an exclusive interview with Ron Jackson, owner of the very
respected DNJournal.com, Andrew stated that due to the
uncertainties of the current economic situation it was time to
get out of the domaining blog business.

The completed sale was just for the DomainNameWire blog but
negotiations are underway to acquire the bulk of Mr.Alleman's
domain portfolio which includes such domain gems as:

HulaHoopDance.com
ImMeYoureNot.com
UsedTissues.com
KillAllDomainers.org
NotSnot.us
TightGirdle.info
and hundreds of other top level keyword domains.

Mr.Alleman has stated that any sale will not include his
1,127 .MOBI domains which are in various stages of development.

When asked what his plans are for the near future, Mr.Alleman
stated that he would be heavily investing in the new .TEL domain
space.

Mr.Alleman declared, "In my opinion Yellow Page type advertising
books are near a certain death. I firmly believe the .TEL extension
will put the final nail in that coffin. I hope to expedite their demise
and be there for the funeral."

Congrats on the sale, glad to see you unloaded usedtissues . com just in time ...

With all the profitable traffic that re-usedtissues. com gets each month, not to mention their huge type-in traffic volume, you know it's only a matter of time before they try to rob the owner of usedtissues with a C&D.

Your timing couldn't be better, great exit, have to wish Rick some luck with this one
