A number of domainers have been quietly registering away since the LLLL countdown finished (some also before). There are still good pickings in this countdown including double letters. A few *-LL.com have already been cleared out from A-Z and not just the e-LL and i-LL.
Maybe someone can pretty please persuade 3spar to edit the DYYO software to accommodate?
Also anybody got any latest update on total available and sales updates?
The registration process is currently a slow-burn and I have had time to register some front-end options (entree), so now my immediate hunger has been satisfied, its onwards to a more leisurely garnished main dish. so...quiet pleasant here without all the uncouth elbows flying around.
I have reg'd these after drop the last few days, still several other good names that will drop the next weeks i will try to reg fast if they get available.
100% of NNNN.com are taken
100% of LLLL.com are taken
100% of the C--C.com are taken
~50% of L-LL.com,LL-L.com,N-NN.com & NN-N.com are taken
My estimates (from checking availability on samples of over 2000 names) on other types of 4 character domains is that ~17% of other 4 character domains are taken and are therefore investing in them is very speculative.
The types of short domains that have a high percentage (>40%) registered but aren't bought out are:
L-LL.com,LL-L.com,N-NN.com & NN-N.com
LLLL.net
LLL.in
cvcv.org?(haven't checked, just gut feeling)
ccc.org(haven't checked, just gut feeling)
types of brandable LLLLL.com
I don't think we are going to get as safe bets as the LLLL.com buyout for while now and I don't think the above domains will be in high interest until the LLLL.com and L-L-L.com have a lot more scarcity on the reseller market as they are still safer bets while they can be bought below $25. This post buyout period is a bit wierd now and I'm looking forward to it settling down.
Many L-LL, LL-L, N-NN, and NN-N.com combinations are still available.
I think this is hindering the L-L-L.com sales especially to end users and since many of us holding L-L-L.coms are targeting end users. An end user could still register the L-LL/LL-L.com without ever bothering with the owner of the L-L-L.com.
With L-L-L prices rising, L-LL/LL-L/N-NN/NN-N.com will be going fast. In fact, many have been registered for years and it may come as a surprise to you how many point to active websites.
Personally, I missed the L-L-L.com rush but I would get some of these before L-L-L or N-N-N.net. And I just bagged 36-0.com last night and quite happy with it.
Don't know about an end user but very easy to remember That reminds me I registered 15-1 .com almost a year ago (betting odds) for fun. Again I have no idea of value but it looks good IMO.
I had e-NY.net in my sights this morning but missed the ending of the auction and lost it.
Thanks...I'm not really sure about an end-user either, but there are only 30 NNN, N-NN, or NN-N that have all the same number, so I figured that's go to count for something! 15-1 is quite nice too...too bad about e-NY, though...that would've been nice.
