I agree, although I do not believe crowdfunding and crowdsourcing have reached full mainstream potential, until then I will keep promoting.

Loss or success, either way the outlay is minimal. I'm certain having strong interest and knowledge in the term crowdfunding will assist me in being successful.

Spotting trends

Very good story about regging the right domain by spotting trends. Sometimes you can spot a new term/trend and than reg a domain based on that one keyword by adding something. One example very simple example would be a word like-blog. You likely could have reg'd bloghosting if you spotted the trend really early.
