Did anyone else notice that the Leapfish.com website is no longer a domain appraising tool?
It seems to now be associated with a company called ePerks.
It now provides real estate, new car and home improvement deals.
Both ePerks and Leapfish forward to the same url.

I remember when Leapfish first came out and was practically the only way for a domain newbie to appraise a domain.
Weird huh? I guess Estibot got the best of them
:imho:

Stay informed.

leapfish, imo, was useless and gave bogus results prompting people to try and sell their domains at ridiculous prices... nevertheless, it was a tool that attracted traffic and I am sure the sale (if there was one) benefited the owner.

I saw leapfish up for sale at Sedo earlier this year...eperks must have bought it for the traffic as they have absolutely nothing to do with domain appraisals!

If memory serves me when leapfish was attempting to appraise domains that there was always an eperks ad at the top of the page??

I remember using Leapfish to appraise Leapfish, and then submitting the screenshot and offer to the owners.

The ePerks logo really resembles Godaddy's logo. They're affiliated, correct?

not that I am aware of -- ePerks is owned by Brabus Ventures (http://brabusventures.com/) and as far as I can tell they are not affiliated at all?

I'm gonna do some detective work and find out some more info.
The logos are definitely similar and alot of chatter is being said over the web that suggests people do think they are affiliated.
I'll be back to post the findings.

Hmm . . . very interesting. I hadn't noticed this. I was gonna say that Estibot killed Leapfish too (lol).

Good riddance. It was a crappy tool.

What I'm wondering is why do they direct a domain appraisal site's targeted traffic to something completely unrelated - real estate appraisals.

What a waste of valuable traffic IMO. The bounce rate must be 100%.

That is odd Josh. Perhaps they hope that people will be interested but with an unrelated topic it seems foolish.

So basically, they're just getting meaningless traffic to the site to inflate the stats for sales purposes...
