Hey I have the domain pepe.com, and I average 50-90 dollars a month with the name parked and just ads all over. I was wondering any suggestion how much it would be worth. I don't think I'm optimizing it well, but I know the name is good and can easily be used for any other site being a popular Spanish/Italian name. Also does anyone know best spots to selll a domain I have looked at a few, but still searching.

That's a real gem you have there :)

Not a whole lot of CVCV + quad premium + ABAB out there. Solid Wordtracker scores, making a good revenue even if not properly optimized,... Looking at Wordtracker, I would guess that most of it's traffic is not coming from it's meaning in Spanish/Italian, but rather for it being the name of a popular cartoon character (Pepe le Pew). Here's a list of reported quad premium CVCV sales: LLLL.com Sales Data and Price Charts . Your domain is certainly better than most of those sales.

As for venue, you could try Sedo, but I really wouldn't recommend it unless you can get them to agree to allowing you to have a large reserve on it. You could try listing it with RickLatona.com as well, but you'd need to have a price in mind already if you went that route.

It's the kind of domain that even someone like me who's been in the LLLL.com market for quite some time doesn't feel confident giving an accurate appraisal on.

I would recommend trying to get it as much exposure as possible -- purchasing a few days of advertising on Domaining.com (and redirecting it to a Sedo "Make Offer" page) would probably be your best bet at catching the eye of a serious domainer, aside from actually putting the domain on auction. At the very least, the offers you receive might give you a good idea of what to set your reserve/asking price around. I could give you a ballpark figure, but I'm sure you already have a pretty good idea of that.

Thanks for the help, now I have listed it on Sedo, but i get very low offers. I also have it listed on Name drive also.

I noticed that Domaining.com has a sale feature, but they collect 15%, is that what your talking about or is it a sponsored headline/banner?

Out of curiosity, whats a good ball park figure i should be looking at, I have been checking out so many sites, and so many different responses.

Thank You for your help so far.

You'd get more exposure with the headline -- no reason not to try both. You could add 15% to whatever you would be happy with to cover the commission charged if it were to sell over there.

At auction (which is usually where names like this sell), CVCVs tend to have good days and bad days, with the prices sometimes fluctuating on the same domain by 50% within a very short period of time (1-3 months) -- it's not that the CVCV has devalued or depreciated, it's that many of them are so hard to value in the first place and demand for a particular combination can vary so much from day to day (eg. enduser versus domainer winning), it's hard to know much more than a ballpark of what one is worth.

If it were my domain and I were planning on auctioning it, I'd have the reserve set at $15k.

Considering its a common name and a abab type cvcv, i'd put this at a minimum 25k, even in the current environment. I'm sure you'll find thousands of end users for this gem and a lot of them will be in billion dollar industries.

Developed this could easily be turned into a million dollar web property.

Good Luck

I think you must get 15k to 20k for that.

It has got the potential :)

I really gotta ask why are you asking for an appraisal and a place to sell it when Pepe.com is already up for sale at PremiumDomains for $70,000.

Nice name. I know a similar domain P?P?.com which is slightly better than PEPE and asking for $20k Euro.

I think PEPE should be in the same range.
