i thought it would be real nice to share some of the emails i receive from fellow domainers trying to sell their crappy names.

hopefully, some of you will read these and stop sending or see the mistakes they make so you won't make them too.

here is one from Andrew Brad, and if he is a member here...he's a clown! why? because he included every other email address he sent this mail to. thus one could harvest his list and spam them too.

To whom it may concern,

The premium generic aged domain FREDLOYAINSURANCE.NET is up for sale and I am emailing several parties that have registered similar domains OR use "[fredloya], [fredloya insurance], [loya insurance], [fred loya claims], [fredloya locations] etc." as keywords in their advertising campaigns. This is a 6-year old domain, with no drops since it was registered in 2006.

According to the Google Traffic Estimator the keywords ‘Fredloya Insurance’ receive over 40,500 searches every month, thus making this a high SEO premium domain worth thousands of dollars.

Right now, the asking price for FredLoyaInsurance.net is just $250, and is available on a first-come-first-served basis. Yes, you read it right, $250 ONLY.

This is a great opportunity to acquire a great domain at a throw-away price. If you have any questions don't hesitate to send me an email or call me directly at +91. 939-2774-412.

All transactions will held either via Paypal or via the secure services of Escrow.com.

Best regards,

Andrew Brad

Domain Broker, FredloyaInsurance.net

if any of you receive such emails, feel free to post them so we can expose the spammers.

Thanks

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I got offered:

IdeasCatcher.com

I decided to reg it. I don't "like" it but it's good enough for me for reasons only I know.

Funny story - 1 year ago I was offered 9-11 dot co based on the .US version I have. I strung them along until they actually registered the .co which at Dynadot I think was $25 with no grace.

Apparently the year is up because they found me again :)

I got an email the other day of someone trying to sell me a long tail domain with like 5 words in it for a few thousand. In fact, they had registered it the same day I got the email.

They were saying how it gets thousands of searches a month on Google. I then look into it more and find that

1) It gets less than 10 exact searches a month
2) The competition is low
3) I could rank in the top 3 in less than a month for less than $5.

Some people are trying to be a domainer and make money when they don't even take the time to learn how to do it properly.

LMAO

Re: MyHomeLoanApplication.com

Hello

We want to let you know that this domain name is for sale and we have reduced the price to just 50% of its appraised value.

You can find the listing and purchase through Sedo.com.

If you have any questions, contact us directly.

Note: This domain name has been registered since 2007.

Best Regards,
Digital Markets

then when i respond by saying "Remove me from your spam list"

he responds :
We do not have a list, nor is it spam. You might want to learn the definition of a word before using it in a sentence.

on top of that, this clown sends the email and i can see all the other email addresses he bulked spammed the same advertisement.

At least this arrogant dumbo is a "manual spammer" and replies. Those automatic spams with "reply with REMOVE if you don't want to receive these messages" are the real pain. Those are sent to millions.
If you do reply with REMOVE, they send you even more spam and you are in their "great, someone reads this email, so lets send more" list.

He's sending from a Yahoo account. And the whois for his domains use the same E-mail address. If you report him for spamming Yahoo might close the account.

This could be the next Alex. (Or maybe Alex himself with his new "company" lol)

Email received from Domainpurchase.co - Spammer: DomainEstimator.com

Domain Name is replaced with "_______"

How come you collect information from the "public domain deed records", but Whois of you Spammers is always Private??
I guess i know the answer!

Was being sent spam as well did some research and found out a lot of information ...take a look see if you can help me pin this person/s down.

It appears the name was for sale on DNF:

Go figure ;)

Kate, As far as i can see, the name was for sale at DNF November 2011.
The Registrar was Domainmonster and the owner was a guy in Newyork (i don't mention the name here). Later the domain has probably been sold (pushed) to another Domainmonster account to a lady (again, i don't mention the name).
The name then expired and was taken by the SPAMMER with whois privacy at Internet BS.

Therefore be careful to say that the member at DNF is a Spammer. He is not. The name expired, went to pending delete and then was taken by the new owner (Spammer) with Whois Privacy.

Just for your information.
(By the way, i used my Domaintools account for this info, but you can also see that the name was created october 2012 by the new owner)

You make a good point. I didn't see the original date in thread.
But I see the OP was involved in a strange thread. Need to dig a little bit.

I don't know but i think we should focus more on those mass spams mails.
I mean some of these messages are NOT much different than those suggestions posted in the "how to find endusers , how to contact them , etc." threads.
Yes most names are crap and these people should investigate more and don't contact other domainers with crap names, but honestly sometimes i see no difference between some messages posted here and the messages posted in the a.m. threads.

I prefer receiving crappy domain offers to being asked for freebies. Would they really need a premium LLLL for a project?

Hope this mail finds you well. I represent an NGO working in India since 1987. We were looking at getting the domain ****.com for a new project which will help in the socio-economic upliftment of rural and below poverty line women in parts of the country. Since this domain is registered with you, we would like to request you to please consider transferring the same to us in case you do not intend to use it in the near future. Your generosity would be appreciated.

Looking at their website, i don't think they are fake or something.
They probably don't know about the value of good LLLL .coms and since they are used to donations, etc., they probably thought thats not a big deal if someone doesn't "use" a domain (they probably assumed its simply registered for few dollars) and donates it

I personally wouldn't post this email in this section of namepros.
I would have told and educated them about the value of LLLL.coms and would have told them that you can offer them a cheaper price than you would normally sell this for, but you can't give it for free since you paid a lot of money yourself for it.

Thats my suggestion.

What get me..is that they tried to sell me..my own domain at $75.00 for 1 year registration!

Is the LLLL.in version available ? Recommend that as it makes sense that they use their own cctld for that kind of project. Again IMO

You make a good point, its just many people have different views, some believe just one email being sent, non bulk just to them is spam and others only care about the mass automated spam, seems like everyone has different definitions.

I have had 4 DIFFERENT (at least) different people tell me that CloudConductors.com is for sale and would help my brand.

Front running on dropping names is becoming ridiculously competitive.

If anyone is interested: CloudConductors.com must be coming up on the drop soon :)
