We need this one too guys :)

This guide will also help LLLL.com holders to understand more the value of their 4 letters .com based on how expensive the similar 3 letters .com are.

From:

http://3character.com/priceguide.html

Pricing Guide for 3-Letter (Composed Of Letters Only) Domains:

Current Observed Minimum Wholesale Price (regardless of letter combo) as of February 1, 2008:

3-Letter .com - $6700 (+ $300 since January 1, 2008 report)

But I consider their guide a bit old since they are not taking in consideration the emergenging countries that appreciate other letters and as we have run a poll here several times lately, the majority of people consider the letters U
and W to be Premium letters.

Let`s have a look at some recent LLL.com sales as reported from NameBio.com :

nak.com $27,135 2007-12-22 SEDO.com
nyz.com $10,605 2007-12-19 tdnam
utw.com $10,100 2007-12-10 SEDO.com

UTQ.com - 6K at bido.com

Kinda low. That is a quality name.

Looks like even the mythical LLL.com is not immune to the summer, and bad economy.

Still, not sure if you can really judge based on Bido sales. Primarily because there are not the troves of bidders the other markets have. Had this name dropped at NameJet - I am sure it wouldve fetched 7-9k. Just goes to show sometimes its where you sell, not when.

Yes, and if you look at the bidding it just about finished much lower still. I think we can all agree at this point that 3Character.com needs a mid-month update if it wants to accurately reflect the real Minimum Wholesale Price.

Prices are way down, it isn't just Bido and as some domainers have pointed out, many of the same people who are claiming these are "good deals" are voluntarily choosing not to bid themselves, questioning whether it's actually indeed a good deal or whether the market has taken a tumble.

I blogged about this on July 3rd -- a $6000 LLL.com is no bargain at all, merely a reality of today. It might be a bargain in the long run but if you want to sell this domain tomorrow you realistically can't expect to get much more for it than it fetched at Bido.

Funny. My reserve was $6,001 and I went for a beer with the guys.

I think you gotta keep in mind that this was Friday evening for the rest of the world.

Reece - I'll be happy to buy any 3letter com for less than $6,001.

Is a buyer's market at $6,001 - how long will that last. Not long in my opinion as they get brought out by holdem investors. I buy LLL.coms but this one doesn’t fit my criteria of letters.
I have brought 5 generics over the last couple of weeks (4 from domainers), at prices about half what I would expect to pay for them 12 months ago, . I'm getting a lot more deals through than before. I should think the number of sales are up but a buyers market, thankfully.

Sales are definitely up versus the last couple weeks and for someone planning to hold long term, it certainly is a buyer's market imho.

18 minutes left on VLX.com over at BQB -- bidding currently at $6000. Reserve not met, but a pretty good deal anywhere near there imho.

There seems to be some mixed signals coming out of the moment. As far as I remember, those $40,000 sales recently at Afternic weren't even that premium. And right now, FZF.com has a bid of $9,000 at Afternic.

But the upcoming Premium Auction on Sedo so far has no less than seven LLL.com's signed up, so will be interesting to follow.

I wouldn't take much notice of private sales, auctions are where market values are determined. The $40k Afternic sales are just as crazy as the $500 ireit sales, both are irrelevant.

UMX.com sold SEDO for $10,100.

2 bidders pushed it up from $8,300 up to $10,000.

Suggests, it will be hard to find anything under $8,000 today.

What happened with this one? Buyer didn't pay? Still shows the previous owner.

I am the previous owner.

WHOIS will be updated very soon. Because of technical difficulties, the new owners registrar was unable to initiate the transfer process to his account. Sedo have manually initiated the transfer this morning. All just has to be confirmed by new owner's registrar later today.

There was also a 40 day waiting period (60-day lock).

Well, I stand corrected. Friday evening had maybe not so much to do with utq.com, as I just got dqf.com for $6,750...

Wow, nst.com has reached 10K at Namejet even before the auction has begun! 227 people backordered before the deadline.

Granted, it is a great one...

NST.com ended at $20,200 on NameJet. Not bad.

Spade: did QBZ.com sell? I missed most of the auction.
