Internet.bs is in the Bahamas. I noticed that they recently started allowing transfers of .US domains. I wrote to them asking if that meant that they are now in USA jurisdiction. The Internet.bs rep said they do follow the .US registry guidelines for .US domains, but other than that they are still in the jurisdiction of the Bahamas. This is a good place to be if you don't want GoDaddy, Moniker, eNom and the rest to hand over (without even a fight) your gambling/adult/tobacco domains to crazy states like Kentucky.

Hello,

i know this is an old topic but I am reopening it since I cannot access their website anymore. The nameservers appear to be down.

Internet BS - Any Long Time Users Here??

Hi,

I have not found much info here on NP regarding InternetBS - and some of the info I found, I didn't find very trustworthy (a bunch of newby posters commenting how great Internet BS is  )...

Is there anyone here that has been using them for a long time? Any problems?

I read somewhere that the whole site was down for a while last year, which worries me a little..

I really like the free who.is offer and would like to move most of my domains over.

Thank you :)

Hi Toni,

I have a few names at Internet BS and have never had any problems.

I guess when this happened, they stayed true to the "BS" part of their name.

However, in the past I have seen many names which were regd at Internet B.S when doing my routine whois lookups on potential names.

The free privacy is awesome. And the price of new .COMs are not too shabby at all.

Regards

I have about 25 domains there with absolutely no issues or problems at all. Been a customer for a while now.

The low prices and free whois privacy is nice, but I really like their simple clean interface.

I've been there for 10 months and it's currently my preferred registrar.

I too like the interface the best. And while I didn't visit it everyday, I noticed no downtime issues during the mentioned period.

Yeah, good thing it's back now.

most probably a temporary network issue of one of our upstream network providers.

We are here to stay, I am actually happy to announce we have recently reached 250'000 domain names under management and we expect to exceed 300'000 before year's end.

Many thanks guys for trusting my company.

Hi that is impressive, congrats. The prices are attractive and the interface is clean and quick.

Just wondering, are you going to offer .me registrations and maybe a more competitive price on .tv?

Anybody received a mail about Internet.bs new prices?

Dot com costs now 8.35 USD there.

http://www.internetbs.net/en/domain-name-registrations/price.html

I don't like their new pricing structure. The front page says "starting from" 7.99 / year for a .com but when you click on pricing details you find out that's the price when you register for 10 years.

1 year registration is indeed 8.35 now.

I'll still use them, I really like their control panel. The prices are still competitive, but a lot less clear than it was before.

Guys, I think I owe you all some clarifications.

We have started an emailing about 2 weeks ago informing our customers of the end of the .com promotion, in fact .com have been at USD8.35 since a very long while, however we were offering a promotion that was clearly visible in our front page. The promotion is now over and the regular price $8.35 applies.

We had a major issues when we started emailing to our 250'000+ domain holders as some of them flagged our emails as spam simply because our customers are not used to receive email from us, we practically send zero emails besides when explicitly requested by the customer, for example for support.

As such most of the largest email providers started filtering/flagging our emails as spam and in order to prevent a catastrophe we had to suspend the mailing. We know that other competitors are sending bulk emails in a regular basis and we assume we have been penalized by the fact that we do not send those emails in a regular basis. We are now studying an alternative approach to send notifications to our customers by Facebook, Twitter and RSS Feeds. If you have any suggestion, you are more than welcome, we are eager to explore ways to better serve our customers and we would love to be able to send notifications in a regular basis.

Our new pricing structure tends to offer a better price to our customers buying domains for more than 1 year and that’s because when you pay for a single year most of the potential profit is absorbed by the credit card processor as fixed per transaction fee. If you spread the fixed per transaction fee over a larger period (i.e. registering a domain for 2 years or more) we make an economy and we are able to offer .com registrations down to USD7.99/year including ICANN fees for a 10 years period, which I am practically sure it is the best deal you can find around.

We will shortly release a new pricing level reserved to customers paying by wire transfer or Paypal Mass Payment only, the idea is to offer better prices to those customers that are allowing us to minimize our payment processing fees. With such an approach we should be able to offer .com Registrations and Renewal at only USD7.99 from the first year and with no other commitments.

We have noticed that most people have appreciated our new pricing structure as registrations have increased of more than 25% since we released it and we are sorry for not having been able to better communicate with our customers because of the above mentioned spam filtering issue.

PS: if you check our full pricing list, you will notice that in average most if not all of our prices have decreased, again provided you don’t buy for as single year only.

Hi Marco thanks for the update.

The new price structure is clear on the site, I had no problems with that although I had not got the email.

I look forward to you offering a Masspay option.

Are you going to offer .me domains?

Thanks Carob.

Are you referring to Paypal Mass Payment or to another processor?

About .me, it is on our TODO priority list, as soon as we finish with current implementation tasks we will focus on .me.

What about the people that add funds to their accounts. I usually add a few hundred dollars at a time (more than 10 year regs) yet I`m not seeing any transaction-fees-saving passed on to me!

Thanks for the update, btw.

Hello Marco

Yes I did mean Paypay Masspay.

I too wonder if there will be any discount for making advance payments to load your account, another registrar does discount prices if you preload $500 to your account. A good idea imo.

yes, we are implementing a new Pricing Level for customers willing to pay by Wire Transfer and Paypal Mass Payment only. Our target is to bring Registrations and Renewals prices down to USD7.99 based on the available balance that you keep under you account and provided it was paid by one of the two above mentioned payment means.
